Mars Attacks!

I'm sitting here watching the 1996 B movie, Mars Attacks... I'd forgotten all about the Airstream trailer park! How a movie with such a great cast and director could be such a loser... but it IS funny!

Yes, it's a guilty pleasure...

Can we like the Lisa Marie Presley and Martin Short scene too much?

I dunno, Bob... the final kiss with Pierce Brosnan and Sarah Jessica Parker as talking heads is pretty sweet too...

I've always thought that movie was a hoot. Where else are you going to find Jack Nicholson directed by Tim Burton... and Airstreams?

Hey, at least Brosnan doesn't sing in Mars Attacks!

Momma Mia completely ruined him as Bond...

I did like tho! I REALLY liked that one!

Pierce B can sing any time he wants - any I will happily watch
Not saying I'll remember the song though...

I agree Janet, Pierce B in Momma Mia was the perfect crush movie for trailer goddesses of a certain age.

I'm sorry Janet... he may try to sing... and you may enjoy watching him try to sing... but it's still quite a painful ordeal...

Mars Attacks is a pretty good show, with animations, special effects, headliners,Tom Jones singing 'It's not unusual' (which is killer) and lots of color- the best part for me is when Martin Short is stalked by a B-52s' Looking dame in a skin tight evening dress that bites Martins finger off in the heat of their (his) moment! ha ha!

I'm with the gals about Pierce and Mama Mia, they are among my favorites! He could try to sing to me any time. For that matter, guys don't tell me you never saw a hot girl singer that couldn't sing or dance.

Speaking of Attacks from Mars, I just read that Toyota acceleration problems could be caused by cosmic rays zapping the circuitry. They have called Nasa experts.

And now back to topic. I don't know if I ever saw that Mars movie, I will have to watch it now. Thanks for the post. I loved "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and "The Blob." I even cried at the end of Godzilla movies.

Of COURSE, Carol, there are MANY hot female performers that can't carry a tune in a bucket, but are real eye candy. NONE of THEM, however, are James Bond! Everybody knows that James Bond doesn't sing. Nor would he try to! C'mon!!!!

OMG!!! Richard. You have just caused me to sink into the depths of dispair. Please don't show me anything sung by Roger Moore... I just don't think I could bear it...

Okay, I can understand that. Had a thing for Katharine Ross once. But then I became embittered & disillusioned...

Did the Martians win? Are they in the Senate? Did they cause Toyota acceleration problems? Did Jack Nicholson recovered after being zapped? Are the Martians coming back?

I don't think I've ever seen the whole movie and not sure I could watch it all at one time, but it was pretty silly. I don't remember the ending, or if I ever saw the ending.
