Ever see The Princess Bride? Another classic worthy of its own thread! And includes a bit of Airstream trivia to be discovered by devious means...

Listen, we're going to get classic here (didn't say classy...). Will even include a bit of video with Jimmy Stewart in 1936. I tried to give it away in post #2. - except Sweet Mystery of Life was reused in Young Frankenstein. (ahh! Madeline Kahn!!)

The invaders in War of the Worlds had a susceptibility. And so did these Martians. Jeannette MacDonald said it best...

Spoiler alert! Click and drag across the following section to read about the ending... The young man in the trailer park visits his grandma in a nursing home that is coming under attack. She's listening to music on a headset and isn't hearing him well. He unplugs the jack from the stereo and the speakers come on -- blasting out Slim Whitman's version of Indian Love Call. All nearby martians' heads 'sploded inside their glass helmets. He ran to the radio station and played it out over the air. And the news spread far and wide and the martians were defeated.

So... got it? Yeah, okay... silly.

Bob, thanks for reminding me of the ending. I did see it. The RCMP, in a way, saved the planet, or was it Plan 9?

Now about those ants…

I guess I'll have to change my avatar to my photo now that you've found me.

You could move it to the Fun & Games area...

Now, Gene...

You HAVE to admit that this thread is MUCH more entertaining than some we've seen lately!

Do you mean the tires/tow vehicle/QC/WBCCI/yourmotherwearscombatboots/axle thread? That's my favorite.

Nosferatu "lives"!

I still have the 1936 Airstream that Tim Burton wanted to have in "Mars Attack".

The movie schedule went faster than the conversions.

The shell was raised 9 inches, has a torsion axle, and a regular A-frame. Plus a bunch of other changes.

I will post of couple of photo's of it tomorrow.

He doesn't want it any more.

Any takers??

Andy

I'd love to have that to camp in while you painted my 31'.

But my bank account resembles the international sign of the doughnut.
