Little things - mess with my mind

The new to me Eddie Bauer has the "same" layout as the old Safari 25 FB SE... except:

• Porcelain toilet instead of plastic - nice
• porcelain toilet is 2 inches higher than the old plastic fantastic - yipes that took some getting used to in the middle of the night
• the flush lever is on the wrong side - you put your left foot in, you put your right foot in and you shake it all about... dammit where IS that thing
• They hid the toilet paper dispenser - Where? Inside the cabinet CLOSEST to my left arm... and I'm left handed. That's gonna move!
• The bathroom door handle doesn't stick out, it's a recessed slider. I like it because it doesn't grab my belt loop every time I walk by, but the first few mornings... panic nearly set in as I groped for entrance!
• The overhead cabinets have sliding doors instead of lift-ups - they are SO pretty I almost don't want to put anything inside - If it ain't white it can't be stowed.
• The kitchen layout is entirely different - but I LOVE my deep lobster bowl sink.
• I'd forgotten how much I hated the stock shower head - put an oxygenics in this weekend
• Shower door hasn't leaked yet!
• Storage light and Poo light both still work - hooray for LED's - and the trailer is 10 days old!
• I need to get another can of gray spray paint for the GRAY tank handle (now why don't they come with color coded handles from the factory?

I also like the clothsline in the shower.

I'm chuckling ruefully thinking what could have gone wrong had I traded for a 28' Serenity... with the lavatory on the other side of the hall. Talk about an OOPS moment or two.

Glad you have found contentment after your wreck.

I really like the "lobster" sink too because I can use it as a laundry tub.
I do not have a clothesline in the shower, but am going to buy a self-stick one. You could hang your clothes out before hitting the road - will be dry by the time you arrive.

My trailer does not have a toilet-roll dispenser. Always thought that was a bit strange.

The unmarked tank levers confused me at first too.

I like your porcelain loo. Will be easier to keep clean. I am wondering if the plastic ones discolour/stain with age. Anyone have that problem?

you're lucky, i have to remove my left leg to open the cabinet door that has the tp holder behind it! the tp sits in a plastic bin on the counter to keep it in reach and dry.

to get out of my shower i have to step into the center aisle because when the shower door hits the commode i can't reach anything or close the shower door with me in there. i use the sliding door only when company is there.

If you want a round dishpan-thingy for your lobster bowl sink, a good place to look is the outdoor/picnic supplies aisle at WalMart. There are always lots of differrent colors this time of year.

They also usually have some in their kitchen/household goods aisle.

Of course, there are no round ones with the regular dishpans, these are meant to be serving bowls, etc. Inexpensive and perfect size.

Sounds like you a getting settled in and doing some nesting. That's a good thing.

Now I always know which one is the black tank
