Then there's RH 8 and 9 machines some being adapted for desktop use.
And XP Home, Windows 98 SE, and 95 for special jobs as needed.
The HP 200 LX replaces the TRS 100 and the TRS 80 mod 4 and mod one are in backup (that 300 baud modem was awfully slow). The Kaypro has a 1200 baud built in but I kinda' gave up on that one to.
Still haven't found anythng to really give OS/2 a run for the money.
We have two rooms in our house set-up as offices running on a LAN with shared printers: color ink-jet printer and b&W laser writer. We have 7 computers but only actively use three of them.

Jody, I run Mandrake 9.0 on my desk top at home. I also dual boots to XP Pro. I switch between the two as mood dictates. Like Linux for "safe" email retrieval and web surfing. IE got infected with some really bad bugs. Scrolling and typing in text boxes slowed to a crawl. It took "Spybot Search and Destroy", "Cool Web Shredder", and "Hijack This!" to chase the demons out!
I also run an 802.11b base station, with outside antenna, so I can play around with my iPaq 5455 pocket pc in the neighborhood.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of Mac users! I have an iMac with 9.1. Can't think of using anything else.
I'm really lusting after one of the new 17' flat screens, but for some reason, all my spare funds end up in my Airstream!

I since have added 2 10.2.8 workstations to home. One is the 17' Powerbook..... and I have upgraded to a 802.11g base station just for the new powerbook! Night and day difference!
I can be out in the Twinkie (in the driveway out back) and surf all day long as if I had a wired connection.
BTW, the "other" category could be for the Linux OS, just need to select other and then place a post saying, hey, I use Linux (and a version if possible).

Ahhhh, the good ol' days... How I miss them... Ok so the TRSDOS 6 days were 1982ish! I pine for my TRS80 Mod 100 laptop!!! Life was simpler then!
OK, I'll 'fess up now. At home, we have two Win2kPro machines and a Win 98 2nd Ed. laptop with a Netgear wireless 802.11b firewall/router and two shared printers. Our main machine (cat 5 to the router) is a newer custom-build P-IV 2.4ghz with a 7200rpm 133mhz bus 40 gig w/1gb ram. The other (also cat 5 to the router) is an older custom-build Win2KPro 750mhz Athlon with 756mb RAM and two 66mhz bus 20gb drives. The third is an old (unstable installation Win98 2nd ed) IBM 560x P-I 233 laptop with a Netgear wireless card. Haven't done any research yet, but I'm considering Linux for the laptop when the Win98 installation dies. Also waiting for U.S. Cellular to roll out it's version of digital service that allows cell phones with IR ports to be digital modems. That will allow unlimited dialup from the boonies in the Airstream from the laptop!
At work I have a Gateway P-4 mobile with a Win2kPro install and an 802.11b card. We have some XPPro machines on the network, but they've proven to be problematic compared with the Win2K installs.

I am very impressed with the complexity/diversity of everyones home setups, this just goes to show that airstreamers are the smart people. my vote Windows XP PRO the best os microsoft ever produced.
We're using a Mac G4 with 512MB / 133GB running OS X 10.2.6.
"Mac is the A/S of computers - anything by Microsoft is an SOB!"
My wife came from the Gates camp, and when things don't act as she expects them to, it's because of the "Stupid" mac - but I think that secretly she kind of likes it. She keeps talking about buying the 23" widescreen cinema display and the soundstick speakers for Titan. Maybe with the G5... AFTER we finish fixing the QA issues with the A/S.
