Hittenstiehl , not very good at this but loving this silly thread.
No no, you're doing very well with it! You held firmly to your strong onion, and get bonus points for throwing in your own "typo's". The "nut" reference ties in nicely with the topic of toeing balls. You did, however, seem to omit the "Relate anecdote from authoritative friend/relative" portion of step seven. Butt more importantly, at no point in your post did you cite any type of credible data to back up your OPINION on onion holding, or ball toeing, or tow balling in general. Are you just making this stuff up? Why should I hold tightly to my onion, or ball, or toe, just because you've never had any issues while doing so??? Where, exactly, might I find the data to back up your clams, sir, or madam, as the case may be?

Life and death of a thread

Hmmm... odd thread. In the spirit of the thread and step #14, whassup with a certain poster with a colorful name and a knack for stirring it up after a long absence. There are more important issues at hand - did you see Rep. Stewart’s proposal this week to create a new NP in Utah? Okay, now the stage is set, let the insults begin about Utah, liquor laws, national monuments, politicians, concealed carry, et. al. per step # 16.

-Ron, nothing useful to post otherwise (but I’ll get this thread closed yet)

Oh - don't sell yourself short! This is brilliant on several levels - all of which Red has beaten me to the punch in commenting on...

This is oddly reminiscent of Ralphie's protocol faux pas in jumping right to the triple dog dare to Flick to stick his tongue to the frozen light pole.....

You bypassed 9-13 to get right to 14 - such breaches in order will never get this thread closed!!

Steve - trying not to get his britches bunched over breaches....

A couple weeks ago I was delighted to discover that there is a 'mute' option that makes all posts by any member I choose disappear from my life. It's lovely. With a couple clicks I can remove the pontificators, know-it-alls, and blowhards from my airforum world and stick with just the ones who are helpful, friendly, know what they are talking about (instead of stupid guesses), and don't come off like Lords of the Manor on their posts. Doesn't end a thread's life for me, but at least removes a lot of the annoying bits from it

Dang! Caught skipping AS steps again, something that always gets me and my alter ego (Festus) into deep you-know-what. But I’m persistent and stubborn, not a unique combination here on the Forums. I’ll double-down with another run at skipping steps to # 14 and inviting others to #16...

Pcskier, I wondered how that
mute/ignore button works out. Does it make threads a little disjointed because several comment(ers) are missing in the flow of the conversation.

It absolutely does! I plead guilty to the digression.

But don't worry, this meaningless drivel of a thread will soon return to it's aforementioned balls to the wall hilarity.

I’m sorry (Canadian joke there) but we’ve totally dicked up the sequence of events, and no one even commented on my “clams” typo... WTH??? I’m afraid someone needs to just start all over again, and MAYBE we can sort out the onion ball toe thing!

-Red, willing to give it another go...

Totally missed the clams! Perfect!

Ok, look - if we're serious about getting this thing shut down - we really must follow all steps in order.

While I'm somewhat confident the odds of that are roughly the same as winning the lottery (which statisticians will tell you are the same whether or not you buy a ticket), I'd be thrilled to give it a go.

Shall we start at the beginning?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....

And here we go...

Say, gang - I'm new here and wondering what the best flux capacitor is for my mohotrailer. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Mac! Welcome to the forums! You’ll find a ton of great info here, but man, you’ve really opened up a can if worms with this one. Everyone has an opinion, and remember, opinions are like sphincters, they’re all wrinkly and spew crap... anyways, you’ll get a ton of varying onions, just be wary about which ones you listen to. Do the research h, and I’m sure you’ll find a flux capacitor that works great for you!

-Red, missing toe balls already...

Hensley makes the best flux capacitor! I've had one for many years and travelled thousands of miles from the Florida Keys to Alaska and Baja to Newfoundland and never had a lick of trouble with it. You can't beat em, no matter what others will try to tell you.

Yes but I've been towing on the ball for 300,000 mi across the Rockys and more years than most of you here with no need for a flux capacitor or much else, I do run all 80 psi though as needed.
