Kyle Bush at Daytona 500 on Goodyear tires
After wrecking into the wall, and taking out several other cars including Dale Jr., Kyle Bush said "obviously Goodyear tires aren't very good at holding air."
Stunning statement about a sponsor.
I wonder if he was on Marathons?

Understand, they are a series sponsor. He doesn't owe them anything. That said, it is Kyle....whining again.

Busch League?
That was a harsh comment.
But these guys have no choice in what tires to use.
My understanding is that the Goodyear tires are reformulated for each track and expected conditions and if Goodyear has a bad day, lots of teams have a bad day.

I am not a Kyle fan.
I love Joe Gibbs Racing though.

He only went 500 miles and he probably used 2 dozen or more tires.
There were a lot of wrecks and a lot of drivers talked about losing tires.

Well, it's never his fault, is it?
He's the driver with talent that Earnhardt Jr. should have been.
But he's a hot head like Sr.
I thought Gibbs would improve his PR face, or marriage.
Everyone else was on the same Goodyears.
Racing tires are so unique, thin as a credit card, different compound for left and right, and good for only 100 miles.
(And cost $450)

Tire manf. do make errors proven by brick yard 400 a few yrs. ago when tires were only good for either 10 or 20 laps then mandatory stop every racer had to pit and change tires.

They don't buy them anymore...they lease them. Is that a $450 lease?

Where did my Airforums go? Stock cars? If you folks are going to talk about racing, at least talk Corvettes. They come from the factory on Michelins. Pat
