crocheter

I am an avid crochet too. When we are home I teach crochet and tunisian crochet at my local yarn shop. I find it very relaxing to do in the evenings and always bring it along in the AS just to have. I may not always crochet on the road but glad to have it with me when we are hanging out in the sliver palace.

I knit and crochet as well - I'm globaltraveler on Rav. I knit most things on circulars while I'm traveling. Too much risk of losing DPNs on the road! I like accessories, because they're usually done much faster. Love lace knitting, especially, but pretty much everything goes. I'm totally a fiber snob, too.

Ahh, another Raveler... I am pidget on Rav and will send you a message. Always nice to know another streamer.

Gads, I've been off Rav for a bit, but I'll get back on for that.

I am webspinner, but I haven't been on for so long I forgot I had an account! I'm back now.

I knit fingerless gloves, almost exclusively. I like having something small and portable that I can do on the road or in meetings or while waiting. Gloves never get very big, I have the pattern memorized after doing a couple dozen pairs, and a stitch variation here or there doesn't throw the whole thing off. I need a project I don't have to think about too hard.

traveling

I love to do Tunisian (afghan stitch) on the road while Larry drives. I primarily crochet. But I have been known to knit and even do macrame while on the road. Gee, it's too bad we all can't just get together 'round the ol' campfire and share patterns etc.! LOL!

I don't see why not, my iPad can easily show off the pdfs just fine.

Alumapalooza

A knit/crochet night or afternoon at Alumapalooza sounds great!
My latest adventures have included crocheting "sock monkeys". You can see my latest version of soda can cozies on my FB page. We are having lots of fun doing monkey business. Christmas started a whole new mess of crocheting!

I crochet mostly for charity and make a ton of blankets. They aren't very portable or practical to take on the road, but we seem to have a bit of extra space so I can find a place to squeeze it in a cubby or under the bed. I tend to go to Rav for the forums and see others I know more than log in my stash or projects.

Hey, I'll start an RV Rav group up if anyone is interested. It'd make it easier to share projects and pics and thread management, I'd think.

Wow, I am one of those people that can't read or do anything while the car is moving... get a tad dizzy. I bet you can get a lot done while driving those endless miles till you reach your campsite or spot for the night.
