If I add, "and all those other people who don't make the same decisions? Well, they're lazy good for nothings who know nothing about life as it should be lived and obviously they aren't real *insert whatever labels you like here*", then, honey, I am out of line.
What one person considers to be lazy is someone else's keeping things less stressful. What one person considers an irresponsible decision about money, another person considers money well spent for an experience. When we start deciding that we can decide for others what makes sense for their lives using ours as the ruler by which we measure wiseness, we're in trouble.

Well then ... you wouldn't have enjoyed Christmas dinner with my sister. LOL!

I agree completely with your "two cents worth comment" concerning opinions and decisions. I need to remember this.

Me too, Dan - I figure it's a journey, not a destination.

I don't know what the hell this thread is aimed at for sure, but wish it was at some of the $400k motorhomes around me instead of fellow Airstreamers.

I've enjoyed this thread. It's a reminder of how fortunate we are to be so diverse. Guess in my 67 years (20 years in the Army), interesting years living in Europe, SE Asia (though "interesting" may not be the best word), I've come to really prize our ability to laugh at ourselves (and others). Fact is, we don't NEED most of what we have. Every time there's a tornado, an earthquake, or a tragedy the survivors almost always say that what they value most is their FAMILY. All this other stuff may make life easier or more enjoyable. Yeah, I have the toys myself -- but the journey to have earned them means more than driving them, living in them, or whatever. I'm very thankful to have had this journey. Look for me come Spring in "Silver Leaf!"
