Just a bit of relief to tweek your Airstream minds....

Okay folks;

On our travels this past weekend (to an Airstream Dinner evening from the Ontario unit) We had a pleasant surprise on the way home - Always keeping a watchful eye for every shinny or dull aluminum object - we just about twisted our heads off and went through our first pair of brakes! at the site of the this Airstream?????

So can you guess the year, where it was made it? there is a little hitch here.

Annie and Marvin you can not play!

I will post the answer shortly - that is if someone has not already guessed.

Avion

That would be an Avion, looks like about a 22', late sixties to early seventies.
Did I win?

It is definitly an Avion, it does not look anodised in the picture so perhaps is earlier 60's

I think it looks pretty new. I don't know about those from windows though, are they added on, or original. Either way, it looks like a nice trailer! That would turn my head too

Very deceiving - she looks new but is well into her vintage era.

Seems to be all original - did not have an opportunity to look inside as it was Sunday and the establishment was closed.

Okay I will post the answer at 9:00pm EST

I still say it is an Avion but now change my guess to late 50's.

I think it looks like a Streamline, which was a breakaway from Avion. I spotted one in my neighboring town just last week.

Okay - how many are frantically scanning those "Vintage Trailer Sites"???

We saw one the other day and tried to figure out what it was - up here in Peterborough. I went through every aluminum site possible - and then we came across this one and the mystery was solved.

Just yesterday while I was waiting in the RV wiring shop - I was flipping through the RV trader and low and behold another two for sale! They are coming out of the wood works.....

But in another 40 minutes she will be unvailed....

PS. Big Al - just realized you are from our neck of the woods just a short 2 hour trip - are you in the Ontario Unit??? will you be going to the Winter Dinner in London???

Now now - I know I have done some neat things with photoshop in past posts but this one is legit! (Except for the black out of the name and replaced with ????) - oops now I'm giving you hints - but I figure you have guessed that it is NOT an AIRSTREAM

Only one so far has only hinted at the era it was made. AVION is not it either.....clocks ticking.....

Prize - Free parking for a week! (On the new Pad!) in the Jewel of the Kawarthas when ever you are in the neighbourhood.

Is it too late to change my answer? How about a Streamliner?

...and the winner is......

Well I am surprised there were not more guesses out there - especially since there are a lot of people on the forum right now - maybe they are all in the Chat room....or just so freaked that they have not had their fix...

First you should have guessed that it is CANADIAN made

Her tage name is Travelux manufactured in Newmarket Ontario. She was made in 1975 (this one) however the others I recently saw were made in the early 70's. She is a 25 foot with no "name distinction such as Globetrotter" in very good condition on the outside. We could not see in as all the blinds were down and she was locked up tight - but I do believe she is for sale.

I know nothing about this company and when I have some extra time I might just make a few calls to find out - as nothing seems to come up on the google search either.

At first I thought it was a prank too - but to have 4 of them just show up all over Ontario is not a coincident - this company obviously made these nice looking spin offs and did a good job of them - for each of them have survived the Canadian winters pretty good by their pictures.

Well this has been fun and and it is glad to be back.

Wow, never heard of that one. Canada really is a whole nother world! Still, it's a good looking trailer, especailly for that age! Maybe staying up north preserves them, you know, keeping it refrigerated
