I work in Findlay...the economy got them. If you need a good airstream mechanic in the area let me know.

Jim May?
We bought our Airstream from Jim May last Summer also and had the same surprise this Summer. I called my salesman and he told me the bank took it over. The bank showed up one day this Spring and said you're out of here. I guess they weren't keeping up with payments. It's too bad. I really liked the doing business there. We were within an hour and it would have been great for service. I guess now we will go to Jackson Center. That's a pretty good alternative. We went to JC for a frige recall this Summer. They have been very good for us also. I hope we hear who the AS mechanic is in Findlay.

The guy in Findlay is JR of J R's RV Service. The phone is 419.422.4239 and they are located at 417 E. Sandusky St. JR was an Airstream Service Center years ago...my Grandparents used to take their A/S to him. Many years ago Jackson Center tried to force him to buy and stock thousands of dollars of parts. He refused and they took his status away as an official service center. He is very reasonable and can do anything the factory can from simple stuff to replacing panels. Very low key, humble shop with JR and another guy doing all the work. He still has a relationship with the factory for parts. He has been fixing Airstreams for over 30 years.

Thanks
We were excited to see Jim May open up in Findlay. We bought our AS at Paul Sherry (who no longer sells ASs) but since we're near Toledo, Jim May was a lot closer. Very sad to see the dealership close. Thanks for the tip on an AS mechanic in Findlay.

According to the dealer list that was included with my new Airstream there are NO Airstream dealers left in OH. When I was at the factory a couple of months ago they had all the Jim May stock sitting in the lot they use for finished trailers. Was told that it has been sold. One thing I'll say for Jim May - he sure liked to put his dealership stickers everywhere - some of the trailers had as many as 3. No way I'd buy anything like that - they'd either be removed with no damage or I'd walk.

Same thing supposedly happened to the one and only Georgia dealership a few months back-Sagon. I haven't confirmed this personally, but I've heard from other RV dealers that they closed the doors this spring.
Times are tough.

I got my last pairs from Out of Door Mart in Colfax, NC. They are happy to ship anything, anywhere, anytime.
