I've moved out of the Trade Wind - A house update

So, I'm getting myself moved into the suite of the house. There's still some finishing work to do, like doors, baseboards, backs plashes, knobs on the cabinets, etc. Oh, and all my furniture is in storage, so things are a little spare looking.

Here's the kitchen area, with my little office space next to the fridge.

Looking from the kitchen through the Living Room space to the French doors, which lead out to the courtyard area.

Kai, visiting my 'office'.

My bedroom and big closet with nothing in it. There are French doors behind the drapes which also lead out to the courtyard.

This is the laundry room.

And finally, the bathroom. I need to install the splash and mirror, as well as the trim on the counter top.

If only the rest of the house were at this stage of completion!

I hope you enjoyed this little tour!

Congratulations, Cameron and family! We've wondered through the winter how your project was going along, and now we see Will you miss your TW enough to plan a road trip or rally soon...or do you crave some time away from it, at least for a little while? I'll always picture that deep excavation with your AS poised right at the brink! Enjoy your new home...~G

Congrats Cameron! It's just a wee bit roomier than the Tradewind, isn't it? Looking forward to more updates as you complete the finishing touches.

Now that your Tradewind is freed up, you can rally with other area 'Streamers, right?

Yay, lift-off for the house at last! Congratulations!

Y'know, the style and colours of your house is exactly what I plan to do with my AS when I get to the luxury stage of being able to upgrade the decoration!

Well, maybe a little more aluminum in the look.

I would really love to get to some rallies with the trailer now that it is no longer my permanent abode. I'm not certain that it will happen this year though, as there are still several months of work for my Dad and I to do. I think that we may finish up around July/August, but I fear I may be too optimistic. My other problem is that I don't actually have a tow vehicle, but I may be able to use my Dad's Durango. I think that next summer will be the year that I will really be able to start traveling. I hope!

You know, I never really got tired of living in the Tradewind. To tell you the truth, I sort of dragged my feet when it came time to move into the house.

Durango should make a nice TV for you, and why not take your dad with you? After all, he needs a vacation too, after all that building, doesn't he? All that work is better doen when the snow flies.

Oops, I mean when the rain comes, you are in Vancouver, after all!
