It is sooooo hot in Arkansas that all vegetation surrounding our reflective aluminum motorhome and trailer have burst into flames!

(You can also see the shiny reflective Airstreams from orbit!)

Sigh.

Rivet Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

106 in my yard in Little Rock yesterday afternoon, but at least it was miserably humid! It also helps that there is not a single tree in my yard.

The AC on my Excella has been short cycling in the heat (another thread). Out of desperation, I installed (laid on the top of the AS) some of those fogger heads from a drip irrigation system. One cooling the AC condenser. Stopped it from short cycling and made 12 degrees difference.

Gotta get the $$$ saved up for a new AC.

It's so-o-o hot here in midMO and especially inside our unairconditioned Gypsy that I set out two dozen canning jars inside on the dinette, capped them, tested for good seals, and now we have canned heat at a toasty 102 degrees to open up on our fall/winter trips. Putting this misery to good use ~G

Hey Vaughn, do you suppose one of those Fogger what-cha-ma-call-its would cool the skin of my Airstream enough to let the Vulkem set up?

BTW, I wish you would start a thread on that, I'd like to hear more about it.

106 today with the humidity at 50% just gotta love Mississippi in the summer time. Every time I pull in the driveway the Airstream tells me it's time to camp, but it's just to blame hot.

Hi Jim,

I will do that. I just borrowed a digital camera and will put up some shots later when I get home.

Keep in mind, It is a temporary thing. I don't want water on the roof all the time, but it kept the inside 91 while it was 105 and 106 for hours. Without it, the compressor would short cycle and allow the interior temp to exceed the outside temp.

It's soooo hot today ...

in the rest of the nation, and I hope you can keep a secret.

High today at our house in Vermont was comfortably below 80, currently it is 72 and we might have to use an extra light blanket tonight when the temperature drops to the low 50's.

Wish we store some up perfect temperatures to enjoy in February!
