Its Not an Airstream but...

...it is free. We're driving up to Kingman today to look at a 1950 Pan American 35' trailer. It was listed under the FREE category on CraigsList yesterday. When we called, the owner said they had over 30 calls on it and 5 different parties said they would come up and get it today. We offered them $100 for their trouble and I need to call them in 15 minutes to verify we're making the four hour drive up.

Plans are to move the trailer to a storage lot for now and come back up next weekend with a larger pick-up to make the trek home.

Here's the wording from the ad and the pictures:
Free Travel Trailer, you haul away. 1950's all wood interior. Tires okay. Has a stove & sink. Bathroom with toilet and shower. Also a small livingroom. Pictures show with stuff in it, but it is empty now.

We're so excited and I'll post back to this thread when we return.

As long as the other 3 sides look like the one we can see, it's in pretty good shape. Do you have any further plans for it, other than "get it home?"

Love it Brad, hope you can get it. I know you told me you were thinking about a bigger one, but I didn't know you meant THIS big!

Brad has been off the forums for over an hour now. Any guesses as to where he might be?

Sorry to disappoint everyone. It was a total mess; rotten wood, saggy floor, contact paper walls in the bathroom, droopy ceiling, I could go on but I'll get too depressed. The guy had put SilverSeal on the entire outside and was about 1/16" thick. It would take typhoon type winds with a solvent that would melt everything to come off of there. I guess you get what you pay for when its free.

Tough break. Nice day for a ride to Kingman.

I had visions of the next 4CU happy hour being held inside your "new unit". Looks like Lucy really enjoyed the M-Ball.
