Is your Airstream gonna see your rebate....
'The checks in the mail'! Are going to use it to....buy gas to the next rally....new axle/tires....or are you going to do something silly like save it??
I got tired of my slow digital camera while taking pictures at our recent rally. So I just ordered a new Sony DSLR camera! It sorta Airstream related.....that's what most of my pictures are of that I post here on the Forums. What are you doing with your check?
Neil

We'll be spending it on diesel fuel
We plan to use our refund to fill our truck's new extended fuel tank with diesel fuel. Once the tank is installed this week we will have 101 gallon capacity. Cheapest diesel around this neck of the woods (today) is $4.30 a gallon so to fill our truck it will cost us about $435.00.

My Airstream won't see the rebate, but my tow vehicle will: the '65 Burb is in the shop for body work and a paint job.

My check, whatever is left after fuel, natural gas and food prices will make it's way into savings. But, I'm doubtful there will be much left considering gas is now at $4/gallon, milk is over $3 and my natural gas bill wich is usually $70 for this time of year was over $200 for nearly the same amount.
So the Twinkie won't see a dime of it I'm afraid.

Repairs...
We’re going to spend some money at Vintage Trailer Supply, for sure. Our door blew open on the highway a few weeks ago and is now sprung. Busted rivets everywhere…
No reasonable amount of money will repair the corresponding dents in our previously un-dented curbside segments and rub rails. But, I’m trying to be positive and remember that I’ve wanted to learn how to set Olympic Rivets and use a shaver tool: http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Olympic_Rivet_Shaver_p/vts-177.htm
