They're made out of brains and fish oil and artificial flavors right? Just like bran cereal is made out of bran. Kee Kee might like it, or maybe Mikey will eat it. He'll eat anything.

The hand-waving guy had to go!

I use Opera for a browser. To block content, right-click on a page and select "Block content". You will be able to "check" the items you want blocked.

I had to block content on the portal, forum pages, and once in a thread to block all the ads I would normally see. It even blocked the classified peel-ad in the upper right corner.

That makes me wonder... why do those of us who are paid supporters even have to see any of these ads.

Because, all though we know we are very special, The rest of the world just hasn't come to that realization yet

I hit the link in post #51 to download firefox. I get to download complete.
Then step 2 says hit continue. There is no continue to hit. What am I doing wrong? What am I missing?
Like I've said more than once, I am computer STUPID. But I do'nt get it.

There should be and install icon on your desktop or were you told it to download. Double click this and it will start the install... You can download it again to see where it is being saved or, when downloading you can chose to open it automatically after it down loads.

The download window shows that it is 100% downloaded but no install wizard appears with a continue button. The prompt says press continue but I do'nt see any continue anywhere. It is as if I am left hanging between step 2 and step 3 with nowhere to go. Also I have no clue what it means when asked, what program would you like to open this with. No clue being the key phrase here. If not for Airforums I could easily take a sledgehammer to this machine right now and walk away and forget about computers forever. I'm not even frustrated with it, it is just that I do not understand this stuff.

O.K. HOORAAAA!!!
I think the wavey dude is dead!!!
I fooled around,(fooled being the operative word here) and was able to install Firefox. The basic ad is still there but wavey dude is gone. I'm happy!!!
Now I just have to explore a bit to fine tune things. If there are any hints, tips, or whatever I am open to suggestions.
There is Air Karma also known as Thanks coming to all who have assisted me in this little adventure. To some I know it's Nothing, but believe me it was an adventure. Maybe some basic computer class should be considered, or I might keep my windows xp for dummies right next to me full time.
Again thanks to all who helped. Ding Dong The Wavey Dude Is Dead.

I just realized that the Wavey Guy is on my lap top.

I use an older version of Fire Fox on the lap top for reasons of limited memory so an upgrade is not possible. The wavey guy never appeared on the newer version as far as I can remember.

My question is has any one had the wavey guy on Fire Fox and found the sequence to get rid of him? He is not effected by the pop up blocker.

You need to go back firefox web page and down load the ad blocker app. then install it. It will install into Firefox.

The pop up blocker is different than the ad blocker.

I see an "Adblocker Plus" listed on the fire Fox web page. Is that what you are advising?

darn pop ups

Anyone getting tired of the darn pop ups at the top of this forum?
Every time I go to a new thread I have to wait for the pop up to "load"....a couple of seconds way too long! It is getting sooooo irritating. I'm tired of the old guy waving to me
