Oh, the thought had crossed my mind. It's so similar to what I've already got though and I'm holding out for an older one. Something with that Rocketeer look. I know of some really nice people in WA State who found one but do you think they'll share with me where it's at? Not a chance and they already have two Airstreams themselves. I suppose I'll be forced into providing them with a lot of liquid refreshments at the Deming TCT event and see if they'll share the location.
We have three of us in our car club now with Airstreams and between us we have a 51, 52 and a '53 and there's one more fellow I'm working on who's shown an interest. I've forwarded the listing to him but I doubt he'll step to the plate yet as he's still working on his hot rod and feels he needs to finish it first. I don't understand that reasoning but.............
That's the problem with requiring my DW to drive me everywhere. She sees what it is I'm looking at and that ruins everything. I used to be able to snap these little goodies up and stash them and pull them out of the woodwork when timing was better from her perspective but now I can't do that. Dang.

As you stated above, not a chance. We will be happy to partake of the liquid refreshment, though.

As you can see Brad, it's tough out here in the Pacific North West. People just don't want to share things. I suppose it has nothing to do with the fact that we did snap up one beautiful '51 Flying Cloud right out from under certain people's noses. What ever happened to the Christmas giving thingy?
Oh well, I'll take my beaten and abused keyboard now and go pout in my 'cloud with a mug of tea and appreciate what I've got.
Happy New Years

Boy, that is one tough crowd. Don't pout too long in there or the floor will rot.
There are undoubtedly, vintage Airstream's north of the border just waiting to be discovered that tickle your fancy and suit you to a 'T'. Or should I say a'FC'?

I found that $450 steal (probably smashed by trees), promptly e-mailed the seller, and still (days later) have not received a reply. Too bad, it was an interesting price .

It's either been sold (and at that price it could have been snapped up pretty quickly) and the seller doesn't bother to respond to the other queries. A bit annoying and discourteous to potential buyers but I can see both sides.
The seller may not check their email frequently. I was pursuing a part and never got a response to several requests. Several weeks later I got an email saying they'd had computer trouble and I was the only one who had persistently emailed asking for an update.
So it wouldn't hurt to send another request asking for confirmation that the unit was sold.
Good luck, and a heck of a deal on that unit even just for parts.

It's close though. The Argosy seems to have a bit better shine on it, and the flooring looks to be newer .
By now you should be inundated with callers although if what we hear is correct the entire State of CA is under a weather siege.
Good luck with the selling, although being "forced" to keep it isn't a bad thing either .

My banker (Wife) isn't fond of the idea of being forced to have both, and she's right. She usually is.
Yes we are having some nasty weather. I just watched a video from Yahoo news where 3 semi trucks on a bridge in 'Frisco blew over - one of them onto a fire engine - ouch.
