Good luck with this one. It's hard to tell anything from the one bad picture, but I would guess that it might be the ultimate project. It looks like the tires, wheels and maybe even the axle have been removed. The inside is most likely gutted.
Please report back your findings.
We saw it on Saturday after a 6-hour drive on Friday. It was rough, as we expected, but not completely gutted. There were a few cabinets left and the seating and table at the front. But the frame actually looked decent and the body was even fairly straight!
We would have brought it home with us but for one thing: the 2 larger windows on the streetside had been removed, larger holes cut, and replaced with regular RV windows, probably sometime in the 80's. If it would have had the original windows, even broken out, we would have taken it and replaced the glass. Just can't deal with the other windows.
If someone had the time for a BIG project and wanted to have "retro" windows made, it might be worth it. I think the guy (Richard) would be willing to take less for it.

1953 Airstream camper for sale. Has some dents in the exterior. Does not leak though. Inside needs to be super cleaned or redone. I have pictures if you would like to see them. Camper has been sitting for about 15 years so it does need to be trailered from site. The hitch needs some repair. The camper is about 20 feet long. Has a kitchen, bathroom, fridge (that did work when it was parked) and a bedroom in the rear. Please call Jim @ 763-300-3675 for any more questions or to see it in person. Thank you.
We just called on this one, too, and it's already gone. DARN! We're missing them all lately!!!

That's too bad! It's so frustrating when you never get to find out what you missed out on.
They're always diamonds in the rough in your imagination!
We found a '93 Limited on Craigslist a few weeks ago-I don't think it had been on more than a couple of hours before we saw the ad and contacted the seller. It was a terrific deal, we bought it, and by the time we got home after making the deal the ad was off Craigslist. Kind of like a really big phantom....
