My guess is that it is a jumble of fender mount towing mirrors and pehaps a set of tire covers.

Initially I thought a backpack, but upon closer inspection, I think LJH is correct. That black strap would wrap around the tree to hold it in place.

I spotted this ad the other day - listed at $550 - and called on it. I wanted pictures, he told me to call him back later as he was on a cell phone. I called him back and left my number and email address on his voice mail, but never got pics or a reply.
I checked the ad a couple days later and see it's still there, but now the price is $2,550 !
