Now that's an ambitious project! Someone should invite him to join the forums and start a thread so we can watch his progress.
Yep, GP, it's amazing that someone is taking a 2005 Airstream and making a motorhome out of it.
I'm not sure that would be a good thing to be showing on the Forums. Too many people with heart problems and I'm just not sure they could take watching an almost new Airstream cut up and grafted to a Mazda truck (or whatever TV he's intending to also cut up for the motorvation).
We may need a moment of silence for that Airstream. Good parts here for someone though from the look of it.

Reading between the lines, and looking at the single picture, it looks like the Airstream may have been in an accident, and this is an attempt to salvage at least some of it.

I failed to define my intents with this thread in my first posting . My original intention was for members to post interesting finds they run across on craigslist - airstreams, or other vintage trailers that other members might be interested in.
While all the fraud info is great to share and make sure everyone is aware of... there are multiple threads already existing for that purpose. Here's a few:
I had a good experience buying a 31' sovereign land yacht through craigs list. I paid $1500.00 cash and got an airstream that had been painted on the exterior (camoflage). Some minor repairs and she was ready to go.

I've passed the info on to a friend who is "thinking" about one and is able to get to ID fairly quickly and easily. This might be just the thing that puts him over the edge .
It's almost identical to the one we found on Craig's list this spring in Edmonds, WA, only it's a '51. Similar condition with twins (brand new mattresses) in back, hide-a-bed dinette seats up front.
We were very surprised that folks in the Edmonds area, particularly those who drive around all day looking for these trailers, had not discovered it and snapped it up .

Barry, One day I may find the trailer of your dreams. It will be a real shame when I don't tell you about it.
