Nice find. I love how he (and everybody else) always insinuates somewhere that they're putting it on eBay if you don't call 'em right now, when we all know that it's on Craigslist because we don't want the hassles of eBay.
It's the ultimatum that everybody threatens, but prays they don't have to.
"Ya want me to go to the trouble of listing this thing on eBay? Huh? Deadbeat bidders, listing fees, out of state winners and dozens of stupid questions from idiots? Yeah - ya do?? Ya want me to do that, Punk?!? Cuz I'll DO IT!"
You are right Brad. Big deal, go ahead, put it on eBay and deal with all the crap, and potentially get less than what you are asking on C'list.
It's like old cars where they say a car identical to this one sold at Barrett-Jackson for $296,348.29 this year. Oh yeah, this one does need to be completely restored but I can put you on to a fellow who says he thinks he has some parts in a box in his barn attic, and all it needs is new floors, new roof, new front fenders and quarter panels, BUT, the trunk floor pan hardly has any holes in it, same with the trunk lid, the engine ran when we parked it outside with no hood and air cleaner on it 38 years ago and the reason the trunk floor pan only has a couple of holes in it is because the transmission was sitting back there protecting it. Yep, great deal, rush right over and snap it up or I'll fix it myself and throw it on eBay and make myself a bazillionaire. Oh yeah, I'll also put it on the Airstream site because if you own a vintage Airstream you'll definitely want this baby to tow it.

Don't spread that link around too liberally - Craigslist keeps trying to code their site in order to Crazed down. It's better off as a well-kept secret!

Exactly. What we don't hear about those B-J cars is that the ones which started out as basket cases... probably cost $275K to get into that point. You take out taxes and auctioneer fees, and I bet there are way fewer people getting rich selling cars than we dream about.
But that's what buying and selling old junkers, houses, and anything else that needs restoration is all about - the dream.
I believe there is a workaround for making it play nice with Explorer, but I don't remember what it is. Something about cookies being turned off, or otherwise disabling the function that makes crazedlist choke.
hey, Steve--this is just what I've been dreaming of--thanks!! I spend a 1/2 hour every morning jumping from craig site to craig site...
but they say it won't work with explorer--if I download firefox will my computer give up and die? It's a basic Dell with a tiny memory.
Zoe
Firefox actually uses fewer system resources than IE, so it should be fine. If you still prefer the overall look and feel of IE, then just answer "No" when the system asks you if you want to use Firefox as your default browser. You can always start it up manually from your Desktop or from the Programs list.
By the way, please don't give out the Crazedlist secret to TOO many folks-- at least, not until I finally find an Airstream of my own.

hah--I won't--and I'm looking for small canned ham type trailers to fix up--and re-sell--so no competition from me--I already have my Safari--from ebay, actually!
