While I hope that FCStreamer is wrong, perhaps I’ve got my 70’s rose colored glasses on. Either way, most posts I’ve seen have been about upgrading, traveling and suggestions for improving. Just know that your Airstream is a Pierce Arrow built by the guys who lost their jobs when the buggy whips went out of use. Along the way the designers were kicked out by the GM wonder kids with green accounting shades as their only qualification.
The quality is iffy at best. So what.
The trailer far exceeds all others and you can fix it, upgrade it and otherwise make it yours.
Said another way, if you aren’t handy then learn.
If you can’t or won’t learn then perhaps being outdoors, living each day as it comes, finding the unique experiences that makes life interesting and different might be a bridge too far.
My advice is to enjoy the art of Airstream maintenance and repair. Read the forums for how to fix, get a heads up on upcoming problems and also to learn about how to use your equipment, tips for places to go and how to have fun. Quality stinks, yup; you are outdoors and it’s a safe piece of equipment so don’t worry about safety and enjoy the ride.
