importing custom made parts to Canada

Does anyone have any experience importing custom made items to Canada?

Ok I admit this is not for my airstream but... I figured you guys would know! I am trying to figure out how to tell if I have to pay import duties. The item is coming from California, going to Ontario Canada.

Does anyone know where to look?
