Close the store. Not work.
Buy several tv's and Airstreams. Travel around, park one rig setup, drive another...

I would quit work and buy a new Airstream with all of the options. Then we would hit the road and spend time enjoying the USA.

I'd hire someone to post for me on air forums.com.

The first thing would be to explain to the wife 'why' I even bought a ticket. After that I would talk to our lawyer, tithes, donations, get rid of our debt snow ball, etc... I would do everything to remain low keyed and anonymous.

I would get a new TV, not sure if we would go larger - if we did it would be a 27FT... Then I would go to work, singing and looking my Johnny Paycheck best, give two weeks notice, say good bye to good friends. Then we would travel and camp, returning home only to 'rest'

Oh well, at least the dream and possibilities are still something to look forward to

Safe Travels to All

We would have a great time paying it forward. Would check out of the grocery store and drop bucks for the next shopper or two. Same goes for other stores. Donate to needy local food banks. Help out family members. This list goes on forever.

I would buy a camera and mount it to the back of the airstream and film all the people behind us and watch them ooh and aah over how cool we are!

(just kidding!)

Have TIMELESS TRAVEL TRAILER build the exact one wanted. Easy enough? It's still the tow vehicle that opens up Pandora's Box! . . . .

Give. Save. Pay off debt. Invest. Stop looking for Airstreams and just buy the '65 Globetrotter Rear Bedroom we dream of. Spend time enjoying it with my lovely wife while we work and raise our family. Buy my wife anything she wants. Clean up the L. A. River. Replant the San Gabriel mountains. Get our dog professionally groomed. Eat more Sushi. Get the local homeless fellows some dental work. Get myself some dental work. Trim my beard. Trim that guy's beard. Open an orphanage and a summer camp. Take comedy lessons and finish my violin lessons. Rest.

Still work until I'm eligible for retirement (less than a year to go), retire as soon as I'm eligible, and THEN camp more. Not spend a dime of the lottery winnings until I figured out how to invest it. Too many lottery winners of the past won millions, but were bankrupt ten years later due to lots of impulse spending and no financial planning.

Get a financial advisor who works on commission, so if he turns a profit for me he gets a percentage, but if he loses money for me, he gets nothing.

Get a second financial advisor on straight salary, solely to audit the first one and keep him honest.

Set up my parents. Make sure their wills call for me to get back whatever's left when they croak, and not have it go to my deadbeat brother.

Replace my 10-year-old Dodge Durango with a small toad that I can pull behind my Interstate.

Endow a scholarship at my alma mater.

Support diabetes research.

Set up a special fund specifically to buy more lottery tickets (for lotteries other than the one I won) just in case I haven't used up all of my good karma with the first win.

I agree with most of you, but REDNAX has the right idea when it comes to the airstream. We have some friends who had one built by timeless, to their needs, and it looks awesome!

Lottery winnings

I disagree with most of you! I think it's fun to do it yourself. We built our own house and I don't mean that we picked the colors and told the contractor what to do. I mean we did 80% of the work ourselves! It was a very rewarding process. I feel the same about airstreams. I like the idea of finding a musty old stinky trailer dreaming about what it could be and starting the process. Finding the parts, finding a bargain, working things out, is fun. Even if we had unlimited funds I would want to do it ourselves. Of course, if I had the money I would want an AS museum to show them off in!!lol

Wonderful! The world would be boring indeed if all you had to say was, "Ditto." No one ever learns anything from people who agree with them.

Only if you've got the skills; not all of us do. But if you got'em, flaunt'em!

We are already retired and I am not sure money is what dictates our lifestyle. We are sorta stuck in our ways that have been developed over the years.

I would be working indoors and in a big, heated shop overlooking a river.
I would have lots of help. I would let people rent space and equipment cheap to do their own axles and shell off. I would have trucks and Airstreams parked in Airsteam shelters on land holdings in 4 states for when I got there. (Atually I already have them in 2 states). One of the new ones would be on the Bitterroot river south of Missoula. If it was a really big prize I might also have an Airstream parked in a barn on a lot next to a lodge and sheep pasture in Bergenstein, Austria, next to a glacier. Summer and early fall use on that one. (Actually the lodge is only about 120 bucks a day with meals for 2 now.) But I would put a Airstream in the barn next door to it for decoration and a place to have a brew. Hope the goats won't eat it.
