I think the silver trailer will be reliable.

After 6 months of ownership and after the initial problems at delivery we have had no more issues with our trailer. Every trip out with no problems increases my faith that this will be a good trailer. We were making weekly trips to the dealer with our other trailer for some repair or another. With the new Airstream we have made 0 visits to the dealer for repairs. Jackson Center General Manager Dave Schuman told me in a phone conversation that I would grow to love this trailer. He was right. I have wanted an Airstream trailer for 30+ years and I am proud to own one. I think this will be my last trailer meaning I hope I can enjoy it for 20 or 30 or more years. It is great to travel without worries/paranoia about what will break and dreading that trip to the dealer. Aside from all that it is a pretty trailer. I like the nostalgic appearance of the Airstream better than any $225,000+ Class A motorhome that would probably have some of the same problems as our previous trailer. The only way I can see purchasing another trailer is if Airstream re-introduces the 3 axle 34' trailer and offers a walk-through bath floor plan.

Good deal, similar to our experience. They can be prone to corrosion and water leaks leading to expensive repairs. So it's good to have a regular inspection, treatment, and repair plan in place from the get-go . . . it can last a lifetime.

Continued Happy Trails!

When someone says, "But you could have gotten a fifth wheel or Class C for that amount of money." I'm like, "No, I couldn't. I didn't want a white rectangular box with some ugly cheesy stick-on graphics and a bunch of reliability issues. I want to camp more and spend less time at the repair shop."
