Hi Shari! My response would be "Huh????" While I certainly make enough faux pas on my own, and I appreciate that you might credit it to me, I'm afraid I can't take any credit for that one! I believe THAT particular post should be ascribed to Chas.

I started it. He has fixed it now, our new World Traveler friend.

Airstream should always begin with a capital "A"

BTW, welcome to the forum!

I need to do some research on this World Traveler model. Does it mean that it has actually been around the world or what? I always figured an Airstream that was on Wally's African Caravan would be the ultimate prize, especially the one Wally and his wife took the trip in.

Thumbs up '59 World Traveler

Enquiring minds want to know!

Here's a link to the VintageAirstream.com page on the '59 World Traveler 22'. It is said to be the "same as Caravanner, Falcon, Flying Cloud & Safari".

Thanks for the link,

So, they were specially built to do the caravan thing.

I would say they are pretty rare with what, seven built?

With the dual spares hanging off the rear bumper and quite possibly an unbalanced runnig gear I seriously doubt if there are many left.
