I quit Smoking

That was my fifteen minutes also. But then the heart monitor started back up

10:30 pm, January 31, 2005 was the very last time a cigarette touch my lips (10 years in a couple of days).....

In the past ten years I have saved enough money to buy and restore my Airstream 310 turbo diesel, as a pack of smokes up here in Ontario are almost $12.00 bucks. It adds up fast.

No more.... nicotine stained fingers, coughing and hacking, bigger and longer colds, smelly breath and clothes, first smoke in the morning outside in -40+ weather, burnt upholstery in my car after a trying to flick a butt outside and not succeeding, guilty talk too's by my two daughters, wife and Doctors....although it has now switched to weight.

Was there ever an upside to smoking? (other than I used to be thinner)

I inhaled a LOT of 'second hand smoke' from my parents... for 16 years.... moved on and my 'allergies' cleared up.. until I went to bars or visited parents. I remember cleaning a brown 'tar' off the inside of the car windows......

I am glad their LUNGS filtered out MOST of that crud...
