Richard - Give us another update - I understand that sugar reduction but red meat? Thats my treat. Ocasionally I treat myself to a really good cut of aged beef and a good bottle of wine. Not often mind you and never in the morning.
Smoking is EVIL

This thread has been an important part in my quitting.

Karma to you all, especially RichardT for starting it.

Thank you.

Don,
Karma coming your way. It's neat to read about your success. I have hesitated to keep asking how things are going, I think one or two have had some difficulty. I understand that!
This is probably the hardest thing most people try to do. If you've fallen off the wagon, I would encourage you to get back up and dust yourself off. I know - it's easy for me to say.
I just want the best for you all, and have seen the results of smoking in health related issues.
Good luck (?) to you all. (I guess it isn't luck, as much as it's hard work and commitment)
Dave

Thanks Dave. You are a strong source of support and I appreciate it.

Hard work, detemination, commitment - for sure - are driving factors. Especially on a day like today. (July 4th) But I think there is an element of luck as well. For me, this thread, the game threads I played relentlessly and this forum were some of my "lucky" charms.

I remember when Richard started this thread but haven't kept up with it. I gonna go back and read every posts for inspiration. So now it's my turn.

Nicoteen free for nearly 48 hours. It's actually been a lot easier this time around for some reason. Like a lot of you, "I've tried this before". I'm going to make it work this time.

Wish me luck!

Jim

That's a very noble reason for restarting this thread. Wishing you strength from within to keep the effort going, for good. You're off to a great start.

Quiting is never EASY. NO one ever said it would be. I smoked for over 50 yrs. At this time in my life, for the life of me. I CAN'T remember WHY?
When U get the urge,Take a big DEEP Breath of Mostly Clean AIR and Say
"THANK GOD I DON'T DO THAT ANY MORE"
Too All Those who have posted that they QUIT, My sincere CONGRATULATIONS. Too Those who Want Too /To U I Wish for the WILL POWER to quit. .
Oh I forgot to mention, I am 8 yrs QUIT and Love every minute.
Luck To ALL
Roger
