Your anxiety over insects is too bad, and I realize you have other reasons for selling the trailer. Wth the current bed bug influx to even the nicer hotels, you must be finding yourself reluctant to leave home. Good luck with your future endeavors. Pat

All is very well, everything is good.

I am not afraid of bugs, just did not like the idea of bugs crawling off my outdoor camping chairs after sitting outside all day and then crawling under my bed in my AS.

My opinion, a defect.........in AS design.

They should have never made it so your outside gear is stored under your bed.

I cured this problem the first week I owned my AS by installing a wood panel under my bed so my wife could store blankets etc. under our bed without the fear of a spider or bug falling out of it when we unfolded it.

A place where I last camped had lots of black widow spiders every where.

And they love pipes or metal holes to crawl into...........lawn chairs are made of aluminum and have lots of holes.

We will be staying in motels from now on.

The main reason I can't do this anymore is my shoulders are worn out and the worry of not being able to do what I need to do with my AS is just too much.

Robbie, some people would rather let something sit and rot, before they would admit they had made a mistake, or had lost their desire.

We've all seen the guy that owns something cool, but clearly doesn't really want it anymore...it's deteriorating, but he is hanging on to it til the end of time...because to let it go, means he might have to admit to himself, perhaps, he made a mistake, and accept the loss of a dream.

I'm glad you are being realistic to yourself on how you feel about your Airstream, and are letting it go, so that someone else can enjoy it. Good for you!
