I'm not at all obsessed. I have AS wallpaper and screensaver on my pc, a 1:18 scale model on my desk, an AS calendar, 123MB of AS photos and stuff on my hard drive, and a real AS in storage.
Doesn't everybody?

BTW fellow addicts, you can make your own AS screensaver with your own photos and the free software from this FREE SCREENSAVER site, but why would anyone in his/her right mind want to do that?
Mine turned out nicely. Maybe they'll allow me to make my own wallet next.

Some how I did not think so either....I saw your web site pics of your shake down of the beautiful mahogany wood cabinetry that was in your Safari - and I just have this vision of you with a nice shinny sledge hammer with your name engraved in it - YIKES.

You could have made a pretty penny on that wood - many of us need peices here and there- be gentle and patient next time.....

Here is a pic of the exact same wood and believe me it looked just like yours did. Cracked faded, water damage in places - careful wire wool sanding, a nice warm rejuivinating stain, and a durable varnish (we have dogs so the oil was out - need it so we can wipe it down - wagging wet tails - amazing where you find mud blobs

Anway not pulling your chain - can't wait to see your restoration progress.

Desktop Theme

I just picked up my 1978 Argosy and it is the background on my desktop. I love to look at it. I am obsessed. Juel

So how many of you actually have an Airstream desk top pattern on your computer?

Here is a picture of mine. I had to pick up a new computer last month my E-mac optical drive took a left turn and it was not worth changing it out - with a new drive and labour it would be more than I could get for it if I sold it. Just don't hold their value like an airstream.

But when I got it I thought of the Photograph - "Louisiana Blue Snow" right away.

It was a joint effort between Maxx and I. (They are the Long Distance Globetrotter evaluators/negotiators mini RV repairs centre (changed out the tires, repacked the bearings and keeper of our money until we were able to get down to pick her up) great people.

Maxx had taken some shots for us and sent them up by e-mail - We had about a 2 week wait until we were able to pick up new vintage trailer. It was a neat photo because the back of our trailer reflected theirs also a recent acquisition in the window. There was a nasty pole down the back so with a few careful clicks of the rubber stamp it was gone (anyone used the healing tool that is great too - and many hours of playing with just the right colour combinations and advanced effects and just the right cropping and the recreatd picture is now my permanent Desk Top pattern.

I could have fixed the rain drops but it reminds me of the adventure we had picking her up. Learning to tow (well a travel trailer towing anyway) in torential rainfall and coping with the US - super hiways - it is a wonder you are all not in rubber rooms with nervous breakdowns with the speed you have to travel - Yikes.

Desk top Patterns and Screen Savers

Soooo fess up - how many have 'em and what do they look like?

Well I do have 37 bookmarks to Airstream related sites....
20 meg worth of Airstream documents
22 meg of photos.

BUt my wall paper and screen savers change a lot, the current one would make a good tow vehicle.

I'm no expert, but your "long" trailer appears to be needing new axles.

At one time, I had my polished AS pic as my computer wallpaper, but the glare was so intense the image burned into my monitor. So, I got a new monitor...heehee

Ok. ok I have updated my wall paper to the best image (I think) of my trailer.....
I forgot to list the CD with around 25 Meg of AS photo's that I have. So that would put me at around 45 Meg of pictures of Airstreams.
