We have lived in our house for 6 years and not a one , we do have kids in the neighborhood, our osn in Ct has 160 , for sure they know the houses are close together so poeple drdive to his neighborhood. I think it depends how close the houses are as if these kids have to far to walk they find greener pastures.

We usually have about 300 but this year it was only about 200. Ran out of candy at 9:00 PM. Quite a few neighbors turned the lights out and sequestered to the back of the house like "nobody's home"! Only about 25% of our neighbors welcomed the kidos.

So Long!

We live in a Cul-de-sac which is set back a ways from the side street. It must be too far for most of the kids to travel for only 3 houses. We had 5 kids tonight and 3 of them live next door.

I will be bringing candy to work on Monday...

How about where you live?

Not ONE!! OK, I'm pretty far out in the boonies (I run a program for the Witless Protection Program ~ mostly just me), but I did call a few neighbors to let them know it would be OK for them to bring the kids thru my gate and back the road a piece to my house. I then drove to town & loaded up on all my favorite candies . Maybe my neighbor's kids have outgrown Halloween? Shucks, now I have to find something to do with 2 bags of Reese's Mini's . . .
I love that old time rock & roll.

Baby makers.

Hi, we think we had about 65 tonight; This is up from previous years due to more, younger, baby makers moving into our area as the old people move out.

Scott it's amazing what a difference a street address makes. We live 4 miles apart and we had 3 kids trick or treat tonight.

Zero for 20

Zero trick-or-treaters in 20 years. I'm always stocked with full size Hershey bar, end up having to eat them myself. Something about the guy in the Mountie Uniform with the giant toaster trailer a mile down that second dirt road to the left, past the crik and round the bend...through the snow both ways...seems to scare them off.

I only want one.

Most of the kids around here seem to go to the downtown area and trick-or-treat at the retail stores & surrounding streets. Most of the houses are vintage and they really go all out in decorating for the occasion. When my son was younger we did the same.

Happy Trailering !

Every year Gemma buys tons of candy in hopes that we'll have some visitors. Every year Murray dutifully eats all of the candy that wasn't distributed.

We just relocated to a new town last month so we didn't really know what to expect. We asked some of the neighbors how many they usually have to get some idea of how many treats to stock up on so we had 120 treats ready to go.
It started good as we had the first 3 before 5pm which is a little earlier than the town we had moved from.By 6:30 we had 15 and that was it.
I feel a diet is a distinct possibility in the near future.

It rained so we only had about 200 down from the usual 400. The town blocked our street off to traffic and most of the neighbors get into the spirit of things. I made a big pot of chili for the adult neighbors.

We never have any trick or treaters. There really aren't any young kids in our neighborhood, and only 6 houses on our block (both sides). I don't buy any candy, I would just eat it myself. So on the off chance we ever did get any kids, they would get quarters instead.
