Taking labor out, what do you reckon these cost in materials alone?

It may largely depend on how much you pay for a vintage Bowlus before starting the restoration /remodel work.

Thinking??

No, we've moved on to obsessing.

I'm not sure I like the rear overhang on the bowlus. It's sexy as hell but I would dent the rear in many locations I like to camp.

How many airstreamers thinking of getting a new Bowlus trailer

New Bowlus prices seem to be climbing even faster than new Airstream prices. Sad face.

Edit: Don't want to derail this thread, but we also still can't get past the "cassette" toilet concept. Fit RV did an entertaining assessment of a cassette toilet not too long ago. Pretty sure a composting toilet would have been a better call. https://www.thefitrv.com/rv-tips/cas...let-smackdown/

That's funny as hell, that link.

I don't think too much of those afraid to try something new, or getting their hands dirty (beneath them; for the proles in flyover country or Third World immigrants), so have learned to ignore most RV blogs when I run across it. Nothing there for me, in other words.

But I'd agree that it'd have to be a paying job to keep that thing in operation, ha!

Thanks. Good job, Rocinante.
