Talking Hive' never seen such nonsense!!

And then to drone on for pages about it. The OP would have a really sweet deal, if he gets the trailer, I just hope he doesn't get stung.

I'll stop now....

It would seem to me there could be other issues if fraud is involved since the deal was made over the internet between two states. I would think if the buyer wanted to push it (and he should) he could get federal authorities involved. I would have to wonder if the seller has tried this trick on others.

BEEts me

Couldn't help myself... looked 'em up on their website and emailed 'em with a link to the thread. Public display of confidence in their business is always good!

Very interesting reading all the posts so far regarding this story on the consumerist website.I wish the potential buyer luck if he pursues this.

That RV dealer wasn't even smart enough to have a 'shill' to bid up the prices when it got close to the end of the bidding...they could have easily got out of it that way, and only had to pay a small fee to ebay...

Hey...don't jump in the water if you don't know how to swim....

I've been lucky with buying RV's and trailers, which have always been made with aluminum! You still need to beware of Airstream scams on ebay though. (Airstream life regularly reports on such ebay shenanigans).

However, would you enjoy your 5th wheel Sandpiper as much knowing that you'd legally outmaneuvered someone because of their ignorance? I understand the point being made, but I've always paid the 'right' price for my vehicles, which is the most I can afford and the least the seller will accept.

I understand your point, but aren't you assuming the item was really worth more than the buyer bid.

Maybe it was really only worth $15,000? Or even less? Hard to tell from the pictures.

While I would never want to take advantage of anyone and agree "what goes around comes around" I would also keep my word and my integrity by fulfilling whatever commitment I have made. A business that intends to keep customers should be prepared to take a loss even if it was a mistake before resorting to deception. I can not imagine anyone buying from this business if they read this thread. Take your lumps learn your lessons and take responsibility (you can tell I work with children).

Makes me wonder why the seller claims it can no longer be sold after the bee incident, but you can find the same trailer with the same vehicle number listed here on July 25:
2007 FOREST RIVER SANDPIPER 325RG for sale in Tucson, AZ - RVTraderOnline.com
No mention of bee's
