Andrew - I see that you have a flag holder on your unit. How does it mount to the front?? Did you order it online ( vendor on here I think)? Did you get the poles that they offer as well? - it seems I could get the poles cheaper locally. Thoughts?

We now return you to the original thread......

I made the flag holder myself out of some aluminum channel and mounted it with two muffer clamps on the jack. The poles were bought at Home Depot. They are painter poles combo aluminum & fiberglass they extend out . They clapse and store on the floor when we travel . Cost about $20.00 a piece.

Photo?

Andrew et al -

Thanks for you patience with me!

Weather was in the low 70's yesterday, mid to high 40's today, calling for snow tomorrow.

Andrew - Thanks for the reply - photo perhaps? Would help me visualize the mount you made. Got the pole thing down. That make eminent sense to me. Having a bit of trouble visualizing the mount though. Again, thanks.

It was almost 80 here yesterday, this morning it was 44 on my back porch. A 40 degree drop in temp is a lot, although at the coldest here, it is still 80 degrees warmer than it is in New England right now.

20 here

I woke up in the Trade Wind this morning here in Quantico, VA and it was 20 degrees....but nice and toasty in the trailer, with a electric heater running on high...campground = electric...not propane....the trailer is winterized, I use the camp ground facilities for all water needs....as I am only here 3 nights a week

-10 this am in Plymouth, NY, where our Caravel is....I heard in Saranac, not too far from where the SOTR is at Colin's, it was -22.....

It was 34 degrees F here, just east of Sacramento, when I left for work at 0500 this morning. 20 miles away, near the State Capitol in Sacramento, it was 41 degrees F. It still looks like fall here, with leaves tumbling out of the trees, due to the late warm temps clear into mid-November. By noon, it will be comfortable enough (wearing a jacket) to take a walk to the local sandwich shop. I prefer this to the 100+ degree weather we experienced just a few short months ago!

It's been around 18 in the morning up here in Northern California. I've looked out the kitchen window at the garage. That's is as far as I've got when it comes to Bambi work. Cold aluminum and fingers just don't seem to be fun. So I have been having photoshop fun instead.

20 degrees, and ice fog. Its been this way for over a week, and forecast calls for another week of 20 degrees and ice fog. Boooooooring (to sound like a fog horn)

There is a wicked cool stalagmite/tite icicle forming near the water heater door on the outside of the trailer. It is now connected to the pavement. Cooooool.

27 degrees in southeast Georgia - the coldest day of the year and the first frost of the season.

Supposed to be 50 and sunny here today. I'm ready. It was icy day before yesterday. Watched a big Ford pulling an Airstream (new) wreck out on interstate 40 about 5:00 am on an ice covered bridge. Wondered if it was a forum member. Also wondered what anyone would be doing pulling a new Bambi on an icy highway. Could have pulled over and waited for daylight in the nice warm trailer.

Yesterday we passed the Winter ditch

As you all know yesterday was the 21, the shortest day of the year. We made it. It's uphill to Airstream time once again! It finally warmed up a little here. It's been raining and in the 40's to 50's. Much better than freezing fog. Thaught I'd include a picture of the frost that built up on my car during the fog.

How Cold

How cold did it get where you live?
I live in the florida panhandle and I dont remember it getting this cold in quite a few years. Our coldest month is January and it has been hitting us with freeze warnings the last couple of nights.
I even ran the water out of the pipes and ran a heater in the Airstream all night long so nothing would happen hopefully.Kept it arounds in the temps of 68 degrees.

We have exactly the opposite problem: It suddenly turned warm here. We have absolutely no snow on the ground here in the valley floor, and the resort is struggling to keep the slopes open.

I shouldn't complain that much, though. Yes, business is slow because of the warm weather, but I don't have to sit on the tractor for hours on end every day just to keep the snow cleared on the park!

Sunny and looking for a high of 48* in eastern Iowa today! Time to break out the swimsuits and lounge around the pool under the palm trees with our favorite beverage! Headed for the car wash today!

My forecast calls for 75F for the Holiday weekend. Right now it looks very foggy and gloomy outside, though. Maybe at least it will rain or something for Christmas....
