It was snowing 6 o'clock last night in Nashville 70 miles northwest from here but we were only getting light rain. I watch the temps drop slowly after sundown (what sun?) and they finally hit 31.9 around 9 p.m. It started snowing sometime during the night and I woke up around 8:30 this morning to only one inch of snow on the ground. By noon the sun was out and snow was melted off except in the shadows.

Gee...I thought New England was warming up with temps lately in the 50's. The ice on our lakes have even started to melt. Well, today, we are back to temps in the 30's and the lakes are frozen over again.

Forecast for the week is 70F nights and 80F days. Just remember not to show up here in August & September when the breeze has died, the temps are 98 and so is the humidity.

Where? Did you move further north?

I just checked the local weather and it is just rain with a touch of sleet for the next two days. Temps in the upper 30's.
