Been a long hot Summer her in AZ but finally the weather is beautiful.

Since our seasons are a little bit inverted here the fall and winter, when you guys are packing them away, is a great time to spend in the trailer.

Got to spend a little bit of time with the 4CU at Lake Pleasant for Thanksgiving. Was parked right next to a base camp and the owner is absolutely loving her trailer and the freedom and adventure it brings her.

Got this great photograph as we were packing up to go home. I don't think they were intending to set this up as a photo shoot when they first parked but it sure did look good.Click image for larger version

In AZ it's warm enough to do Christmas outside. Not the same without snow but fun nonetheless.Click image for larger version

Recently participated in the clean out of my 93 yr old in laws home and had the fun privilege of bringing home several vintage(y) things to maybe use or show with our trailers. Click image for larger version

Lot of memories there. What is the item next to the heating pad with the hook to hang it in a closet?

Good eye Rich, that is a "clip on" tie rack holder. Those little slots hold the clip portion of the tie.Click image for larger version

Oh yes you do.

The good old kind. Even some harvest gold and avacado green that I didn't take.

Remember when we used to slide the (half gallon?) of Ice Cream in the rectangular packages into those let blue ones on the front right.

Hittenstiehl's Meanderings

Worked in word processing field service. Lost a few clip on ties to hungry high-power mechanical hardware. Company did not allow regular ties or tie pins for several good reasons. But we had to wear three piece suits to out do the IBM crowd.

Glad those days are over.

Nowadays, tee shirt, jeans, and steel-toed boots to play with computers at work. Much more comfortable, and our old joke about ties cutting off blood flow to the brain turned out to actually be true!

I have a nice “interview suit” but the only tie I still have is a clip-on. You interview me, you see it once...

Hittenstiehl's Meanderings

We used to be able to get a very close guess in their position in the company by observing how they dressed.

For example, fine wool three piece suit, French cuffs with real cuff links, a hand tied silk tie, and a monogrammed shirt, real nice custom shoes usually indicated an upper-level manager.

Sport coats, off the rack, with non matching pants, a clip-on tie, and a button cuff shirt with loafers was a low level programmer.

Great comraderie, a nice quick getaway with an ever so slightly dusting of snow on Sunday. Oak Creek had overflowed it's banks and took out half the campground.

We also got to use our new Dutch Oven table for some pull apart bread and apple cobbler.Click image for larger version

Cleaned out a storage shed at our place. It's the shed with all the innards of the Ambassador. The roof shingles blew off in a storm last season and we realized the tarp we had put up there had gotten thin and was starting to leak. We took off the rest of the shed wall drywall and put a new tarp on the roof until we relocate the shed.

Was interesting and fun to look at all the parts and pieces and be able to identify them even better now after years of being on the forum and looking at everybody's pictures.

Not sure how many of these parts and pieces will go back in when the Ambassador gets put back together. We'll use some use some of the viable pieces. Use some for templates, donate some and maybe throw some away.

It does look like a big jenga puzzle for now. As you can see avocado green was our color scheme in 62.Attachment 341386Click image for larger version

Headed on a road trip across (part way) this beautiful country for a family function (sans trailer).

Phx to Omaha, some country roads and little interstate to make time. All along saying we've gotta come back here with a trailer.

ABQ to Santa Fe to Trinidad Co very picturesque. Country roads thru Las Animas to Burlington KN.

It's good to see wholesome goodness still alive and at work. So much to see when we retire.
