We should always remember those who were there that fateful day, even though few still remain among us. It should also give us cause to think of the troops that are in harm's way today.

God, thank you for this country. Thank you so for the millions of men and women that served during ALL wars; but especially those who sacrificed their lives and honor during the time after the "surprise attack" at Pearl Harbor. Please God, protect our country from those within and without who would destroy what YOU have given us.......Amen

You know, I think it's a good idea to remember these things, both those in the longer past and those more recent. On the other hand, my own family has had one bitch of a time with war injuries, and it's not something that is particularly fun to contemplate. Peaceful endeavor is always the better solution, at least from this family member's view.

History II

Tomorrow, is that infamous day.

Let us never forget those that serve or have served our country.

I simple showing of "thank you" means alot, to those people.

The following is a good way, that we can say thanks, wherever we may be.

Got to visit the memorial in 2008; a chilling reminder to say the least. A survuvung veteran was working the information desk while we were there.

It won't be long before that will be a thing of the past. I was honored to have been able to witness that.

way to go andy and thanks richard. My mom was engaged to a pilot who died in that conflict, many went on missions especially in attacks to stop incoming enemy carriers knowing they almost certainly wouldnt be returning. Imagine that kind of courage and desire to preserve the freedoms that we enjoy.

It`s interesting living in Japan (Tokyo) and being a former member of the US Army. A lot of the younger generation don`t even think about it. The older generation is a different story. Some believe that it was good thing that the US won while others hate us and remind us almost everyday with visits to Yasukuni Jinja (the war dead memorial in Tokyo) and blaring imperial prewar music. Japan is such an ambiguous society.
