Does Alex Baldwin show up for the festivus celebration?

Even though I am an outlier A/S owner: it is brown, not aluminium, [sic] I am honored that there is a holiday dedicated to aluminum. (Spelled both ways for Canadians and Americans.)

I will be polishing my pole this weekend and plant it in the ground. will have to call my siblings on a conference call to air grievances, and will install a new storm door on the house for a (modified) feat of strength.

Happy Festivus 2013

Ahhh! Another year without a Festivus Miracle . . . but the day isn't over yet. The day started in a very disappointing way (as all celebrations often start). My employer decided to be funny and get in on Festivus too. When trying to log in to my work account, this is what the screen looked like (see below). How can they take such a joyous day away and say that they want to hear our grievances? Really? How did things turn out at your place of employment, robwok?

I'm also really disappointed in YOU people (except for Protagonist and Aluminuminum -- you've got the spirit -- a rant and a donation!). Now, on to the airing of grievances. This year, I will air about the Airstream community. I've really got problems with you people. Do you really think we working 'streamers can attend all those rallies? Well, here is some news, WE CAN'T, so why do you keep pressuring us? Sure, it's gotta be nice to be retired or self-employed or a self-employed blogger (yep, some claim to be). However, some of us have bosses who limit our time off (don't get me started!). Oh, and guess what? It isn't all that helpful to say, "Just ask your boss for time off." Do you think that after 17 years I haven't tried that? I've really got problems with you people!

Feats of strength are next.

Let's get ready to rumble!

This group is funny! We should have a Festivus Rally.

Sounds like a great idea. How about doing it at "South of the Border"? That ought to be tacky enough to fit with the holiday itself.

Interstate 20. South of I-20, most campgrounds remain open year-round, north of I-20 most close for winter. Though there are exceptions to both rules.

Also, Louisiana is America's own third-world country, judging from low literacy rate, high crime rate, rampant corruption, all the things that make banana republics fun!

i am truly disappointed in all of you -

the first Festivus rally MUST be held in 'del Bocca Vista'

you're forgiven all sins if you understand why

Del Bocca Vista will surely already be booked. Therefore I think we need to pick somewhere else, and somewhere more centrally located (so that I can come!)

"The Geographical Center of the United States (contiguous 48) is located about two miles northwest of Lebanon, Kansas. Take US Highway 281 north 1 mile, and turn west one mile on K-191 to the maker that has been erected at the end of the paved road. The actual center is about a half mile away in the center of a former hog farm. "
