Festivus Pole?! OOPS, the pole is misplaced. In a pinch, I've wrapped a paper towel tube with aluminum foil that will have to do! Perhaps giving everyone yet another reason to be extremely disappointed.

In the words of Frank Costanza...

"I've got a lot of problems with you people. And now you're gonna hear about it!"

And for those not familiar with the origins of Festivus, here's a handy-dandy recap of how this wonderful holiday began.

That's a great idea! I threw out all of my spare pieces of aluminum when my family moved two years ago so my pole is long gone, too. Time to run a bunch of paper towels off of a roll and grab the foil.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED... and now you're gonna hear about it!

Festivus, December 23rd, will be coming to an end in a few hours (depending on your time zone) and there have been no comments on this thread! What gives?!

Are there no Festivus meals happening today? No airing of grievances? No feats of strength?

Oh the disappointment of it all!

^^^^^^^^^^That's more like it!

For the uninitiated, a recap of Seinfeld episodes that may illuminate the who/when/why of Festivus...

Festivus dinner is served.

Festivals dinner is served! Airing of grievances has taken all day. Next, the feats of strength!

I have no pole, plenty of grievances, getting up today was feat of strength, and I guess I am late too, and everyone is very disappointed. I continue my record of never seeing a single episode of Seinfeld. Perhaps that would be a Seinfeld thing to (not) do. I don't want to see one after all this time, because you can't be a virgin twice.

I'm waiting for Boxing Day, but don't want to box, just get my new truck tires. Then I can wait for Talk Like a Pirate Day.

We've been looking for a nice pole and can't find one anywhere! Festivus is right around the corner (I've been writing down a list of grievances) and still no pole! Gotta run some errands tomorrow... maybe I can locate a nice pole.

I ordered a 4" diameter column recently for use in our basement (to support a sagging floor joist) - I should have painted it "aluminum" color and used it for Festivus.

Still the only person in the world never to have seen Seinfeld or use an ATM. But there is no shortage of grievances, in fact, this year is a champion, and a virtual pole will work. Just getting out of bed in the morning is a feat of strength.

More than a few things in common...never felt the need to watch a half an hour about nothing.

Now the Coffee show is more our speed....

After moving homes, I got rid of all of my scrap aluminum. I now have an old paper towel roll covered in aluminum foil which packs nicely with all of the traditional season decorations. Highly recommended!

We carelessly cut our Festivus pole by mistake and used it for a closet rod.
If only 2020 would end!

Festivus 2020 has come and gone. Only one day post-Festivus and I seem to have a year’s worth of grievances already! There’s going to be quite a long list for 2021!

Feats of strength

My feat of strength was lifting both my agms out of the battery box under the sink in my basecamp. Of course, subsequently had one epidural, physical therapy, and a consult with a neurosurgeon for spinal stenosis. Wtf, won’t be doing that again. Lol. Happy happy and merry merry! Happy festivus
