Well it's Festivus again, sixth anniversary. I didn't bother to take another picture of the pole because I don't want to waste any more time on this than necessary.

Y'all disappointed me greatly again so overall it was a good year. You have lived up to my expectations, de minimus.

Airing of grievances may begin. You may also propose new feats of strength.

Grievance: I just downloaded Free WiFi Finder on my iPad and then tried to load the list of all hot spots when off line. When it got to 88%, it told me my wifi connection had failed and it just stopped and I could do nothing but delete the whole app and start over. Now I am re-loading the app. Shall I download the list again, or just be content with the app—just having to decide gives me grief!

Do I have to get a pole?

Do I have to get a pole?

Only if you know how to "dance".

I don't think anyone would want to watch, and if they did, what a perv!

Festivus is our greatest holiday of the year. Here then is my first grievance. Why does TV have to be so complicated now? It's a shame. In the old days you turned the ON switch, flipped the dial to a channel and sat back to watch. Sure, there was snow, there was a little rolling and flipping, but it was easy. Today, we have six remotes, at least three different "source" boxes connected to various "inputs" and each has a different remote procedure to find, tune, locate channels and so on. Just try looking in the newspaper to find out "what's on tv?" What the heck is channel 3-3? And for all the hoopla, digital TV is no better than old tv. Every single show has a different picture size which wastes about 70% of our new "wide screen" TV. Most of it is black. Waaaahhhhhh!

Don't worry redwood', as the cataracts develop what's on TV will all look grey, just like the days before color.

My grievance was heard. The 2nd time it worked!

I can report there are no hot spots in Crawford.

Now if I can my e-mail settings to work on the iPad—2nd grievance of many—life will be better.

Festivus Miracle

Here on the Canadian prairies there is no snow! It's a Festivus miracle! We could even go camping (if we didn't have storage insurance).

I've got a lot of problems with you people! Many of you are going to post this weekend about how it's so warm that you went camping and roasted a turkey in your oven. Oh yeah? Well, for your "feat of strength" come here and do that when it's -40F.

Thanks Bolerama. In the spirit of Festivus, may I point out that it's just as hard to roast a turkey in Minnesota at -40 Fahrenheit as it is in Canada at -40 Celsius.
