Do I have to get a pole?

Only if you know how to "dance".

I don't think anyone would want to watch, and if they did, what a perv!

Festivus is our greatest holiday of the year. Here then is my first grievance. Why does TV have to be so complicated now? It's a shame. In the old days you turned the ON switch, flipped the dial to a channel and sat back to watch. Sure, there was snow, there was a little rolling and flipping, but it was easy. Today, we have six remotes, at least three different "source" boxes connected to various "inputs" and each has a different remote procedure to find, tune, locate channels and so on. Just try looking in the newspaper to find out "what's on tv?" What the heck is channel 3-3? And for all the hoopla, digital TV is no better than old tv. Every single show has a different picture size which wastes about 70% of our new "wide screen" TV. Most of it is black. Waaaahhhhhh!

Don't worry redwood', as the cataracts develop what's on TV will all look grey, just like the days before color.

My grievance was heard. The 2nd time it worked!

I can report there are no hot spots in Crawford.

Now if I can my e-mail settings to work on the iPad—2nd grievance of many—life will be better.

Festivus Miracle

Here on the Canadian prairies there is no snow! It's a Festivus miracle! We could even go camping (if we didn't have storage insurance).

A donation has been made in your name to the Human Fund.

I've got a lot of problems with you people! Many of you are going to post this weekend about how it's so warm that you went camping and roasted a turkey in your oven. Oh yeah? Well, for your "feat of strength" come here and do that when it's -40F.

Thanks Bolerama. In the spirit of Festivus, may I point out that it's just as hard to roast a turkey in Minnesota at -40 Fahrenheit as it is in Canada at -40 Celsius.

So, is this card supposed to accompany a lump of coal (or a bundle of switches) in the recipient's stocking?

One of the tenets of Festivus is to air your grievances and let your family know how you disappointed them over the past year.

I am disappointed that you did not know this.

As I am disappointed that you have it all backwards. I let my family know how they have diappointed me over the last year.

Ah, so! So, instead of eating things like turkey and ham for the main Festivus meal, I presume everyone eats crow!

Not to mention the never ending ads running at the bottom of the screen. Todays TV entertainment and its advertisements are too loud , too fast , and therefore too annoying.

After days of intermittent and slow internet from my lousy ISP, they came and installed a bigger dish which apparently, being wider, accumulates all the broadband particles. I remain disappointed and grieving, but I can now post dumb things, just like before. Is today Boxing Day, or did I miss that too?

It's baaaaaack. This thread needs to be put in the Forums Hall of Fame.

My grievance for the year: I'm now officially old. And I haven't retired. Bummer, Dude.

Who's next?

Oh wait, feat of strength: I'm still putting up with work every day.

One issue guy this year.

Jim
