Hi Kathleen, if Jim┤s family lived in "Downton" Hamburg, they probably won┤t have bonfires, as its more a rural thing on the suburbs and in smaller towns (but I am nit shure maybe they even have it it the citycenter of Hamburg...).
What could be better than beer and fire...
Well I┤ll tell you!!
Beer, fire and a good Bratwurst right from the charcoal fire!!! Oh, and a good Schnaps after the beer and bratwurst (each beer and each bratwurst, what ever comes first ).

You are always welcome to join us at the Easter Bonfires here in our region!! Ah, and the best is, that some towns have their fire on saturday and the others on sunday, so you have twice the chance to celebrate!!!

Here is a Happy Easter Funny sent to me today and it seems appropriate to share it here:

ALL I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE
I LEARNED FROM THE EASTER BUNNY

Don't put all of your eggs in one basket
Walk softly and carry a big carrot
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears
There's no such thing as too much candy
All work and no play can make you a basket case
A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day
Some body parts should be floppy
Keep your paws off other people's jellybeans
Good things come in small sugarcoated packages
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket
An Easter bonnet can tame even the wildest hare
To show your true colors you have to come out of your shell
The best things in life are still sweet and gooey

Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits

Happy Easter...

just wanted to wish all my fellow airstream and argosy friends a very safe and happy Easter! if any of you have special plans (Easter egg hunts, Sunrise services, etc.) it would be nice to share them. we may just stay home and have a quiet day or we have been invited to a relatives house, out of town, for dinner. all in all, we are truly blessed and have so much to be thankful for. Blessings to you all!

Andre'-

Thank you for the Easter Wishes and we wish all the same to you and all our Airstream friends and family. Just a word of warning to everyone, do not call Evil Easter Bunny for Fun! We had them come out to the house to surprise all the youngsters last year and it really didn't go well at all!

Happy Easter!

Thank You for the Easter Greetings

We will be spending time with family - siblings, aunts, uncles, in-laws, out-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a whole bunch of friends. Church services are on the agenda in the morning.

Just prior to dinner (1PM) we take a few minutes to assemble for a group photograph - there are usually well over 60 people attending. It's difficult to get everyone in the picture but the threat of holding off dinner will usually get them motivated.

After dinner there is visiting, catching up on old times and an egg hunt for the kids. Everyone takes home a prize. I know, I know... what do eggs have to do with Easter?

For the adults there is an Easter Egg Hunt Road Rally! Sort of like a scavenger hunt, the clues are not eggsactly riddles but along those lines. I always mix in some financial calculations with the clues and answers. The prizes for adults are usually financial books of one sort or another - seems like almost everyone needs a nudge to start saving for their future or start planning for retirement.

Happy Easter! Lucius

Thanks and a happy/safe Easter to you too! We have special plans for the Easter weekend. On Saturday, we will be picking up the new-to-us 1966 Chevy pickup truck which will be used for parts to restore our '64 Suburban. We will spend the remainder of Saturday and part of Sunday puttering around both vehicles. The afternoon will be spent in the more traditional Easter fashion (i.e., with family, food and egg-hunting fun).
