So I would ring the doorbell and then stoop down in the box until after the door was opened then I would jump up and say trick or treat. Yup I was a jack in the box, guess my dog Freckles was a jack out of the box? a clown? Mother was creative. I remember playing Easter bunny to the entire aprtment building with my son in arms and all dressed up.

Very creative! These days, my favorite pastime on Halloween is to dress up like a ghoul and sit outside my door in a chair motionless waiting for the unsuspecting trick or treater. They usually think I'm part of the Halloween inanimate decorations so they don't pay me much attention. Hehehe! That's when I strike! I leap up out of my chair, snarling under my breath, with hands waving overhead...it sends the kids screaming and scattering everytime!
Of course, then I give them a treat!

Courtney Love scores me first prize in office party!!!
I spent a few hours last night creating a one-minute music video DVD of pieced together photos of Courtney Love in tune to her song "Violet". Today, I then donned my HD leather riding pants, put on tons of eye make-up, painted my nails red, put on black fishnet "gloves", and loads of silver jewelry to top off my *grunge* singer look. And then, we dimmed the lights in the conference room, and I used my nephew's toy guiter to play air guitar while I lip synched to the "Violet" music video playing on the big screen behind me.

OH. MY. GOSH. Yuki, I didn't know you had it in you!! What a great costume! I wish I could have seen it in person. You'll just have to do a repeat command performance for the women's rally.

I just needed to break out of the "flamingo costume" mode at least once this year! I didn't want to get type-cast as a "flamingo" for the rest of my *career*.

Whats the worst back up treet items you have resorted to when the candy ran out?
We raided the fridge and best we could come up with was some Capri Suns...oh the horror!
Poor kids...
Almost twice as much candy as last year, and we still ran out before 8pm.
Running out of candy is my Halloween Nightmare.

We moved to a new location this year and it is on a fairly busy road.We did not have any this year.
At our other home it seemed each year there were less and less.I think safety is an issue as most trick or treaters are accompanied by their parents in recent years.

Numerous trick or treaters last night. Had to turn off the light by 8:00 because we ran out of 2 huge bags of candy. Cape Coral had the EMS and fire trucks roaming the street for safety, and I liked that.

While the Boyz came home with a reasonable haul of treats, we had nary a soul ring our door bell.
