!! Hail !!

I 've read the hail damage threads here in the past and said...

"ya, I've seen hail before..."

Well, I stand corrected..... until now, NO, I have not seen what hail is all about !

It happens like that every Spring

More are forecast for today in our whole area. Everything is already in the barns and seal up.

Think about the poor Cowboy, pushing a herd across the area 100 years ago. Out there with no cover at all....then one of these hail storms.

Exclamation Adolescent Hail Stone

Just to make you all feel better, if the ones visible on the ground are typical of what is falling, those are medium sized hail stones. They come much bigger than that. I have seen bigger than that both in eastern Colorado and in Nebraska. That is why I have covered storage for the trailer. However that won't help much if we get hit while camping.

Regards,

Ken

We have scoped out a few 'sheds' nearby that are vacant...I am still wondering where on earth can you get away from a hailstorm...we have not been hit (yet) and pretty soon we will be out of the season for it. some missionarys told me years (many) years ago that one day we would have an 'earth purge' and that hailstones could be as large as foot balls (something to think about) I would even go as far as to find the side of a hill and dig a large hole into the side of it- build a framed room and cover it back up...Mississippi has lots of soft hills for digging. And I would back that airstream in there to keep it safe!

Unbelievable! We have hail here, but nothing like that that I've ever seen. Crazy.
