Good Sam: Highways

"The Official Publication of the Good Sam Club"

I just received the June 'Commemorative Issue" (40 Years of Rving) today. Much to my surprise, vintage Airstreams grace both the front and back covers. I haven't had time to read any articles yet, but there is something that really jumps out in the picture on the rear cover. I would scan and post it, but I don't know if there would be a copyright violation if I did. Those of you who are Good Sam members check out the back cover and see if there is anything awry.

Hi, don't mean to hijack this thread, but somebody was good enough to get the scan of that advertisement posted in the thread I started.

If you do not have Acrobat on your system the file will not load, its a pdf file format. Get Acrobat Reader program for free off the net. The Citroen's had an all pnuematic suspension and if you turned off the car (which they must have done for this picture) the suspension can deflate and the car kneel down. We used to have a member in our local club that pulled with an old Cadillac with big air shocks and automatic leveling. He never used a weight distribution hitch with his 28 footer and it looked like the ad before he started the car up and activated the system. Not something that I would recommend but, he thought it was alright.

Front and back cover, and two articles

This Highways issue is a keeper. Not only does it have Airstreams on both the front and back cover but there are two articles that feature Airstreams. "Time Tested" on page 30 and "Camp Cuisine" on page 32. "Camp Cuisine" shows the newer Bambi that has been modified into a rolling professional kitchen with slices of toast on top.
