Going to Penn Woods

I'm headed out in the morning, going to Penn Woods, an Airstream only park near Pauxatawney? PA. Anyone been there? Kool stuff to do in the area? Visiting my sister and aunt for a long weekend. Ideas welcome - drop by if you're in the area, our plans include many cosmopolitans.

Great place and great people

Hello Paula.. we were there 2 years ago.. Loved it.. just have not found the time to go back yet.. Ask the locals where to eat and what to see.. alot different than what the tourists see.. Wish I could remember the name of this restaurant that was up a hill with a meandering stream below.. deer sometimes seen.. outside deck and great food.. Have a great time..

We did the WBCCI Autumn Leaf Festival Rally there last year and had a great time! We recommend this rally to anyone who might be interested! We also made a note to return to Penn Wood again some time, because it is a nice quiet park.

As for eats - I can't remember.

As for what to do in the area, last year's Rally had day trips to:
- Punxatawny Phil and Gobbler's Knob in Punxatawny, PA.
- The Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana, PA
- The Debence Mechanical Music Museum in Franklin, PA
- Cook Forest

All are probably within a hour or so drive of Penn Wood.
