Bingo!

That's good and you are right...this is a free country...and you are entitled to your opinion...whether I think its right or wrong. And I also realize most people dont like hearing the naked truth. And I also do appreciate a truly intelligent response. Thanks.

Not "disrespectful" at all. I personally have a very healthy number of friends who have served, a Grandfather who was in the Pacific Theater in WW2, another family member who was in Beirut, Lebanon on 23 Oct 1983, and all of them...every one...makes the same statement...and takes pride in it. It isnt something for the faint at heart...hence, "The Few, The Proud".

On this point I would not argue or disagree one jot or tiddle. You are absolutely and unequivocably correct ma'am. I do not believe anyone should bow down or accept anything without questioning it thoroughly. Doesnt matter if it comes from the President, the Pope, or the Professor.
Thank you again for a very intelligent exchange...you are to be commended.
But I won't assume that its over...

nice quote, thomas also said:

we need to deal with the problem now.

'nuff said.

Believe me, if we could all have intelligent conversations about these topics, without resorting to name calling or being offended, I think the world would be a much better place. Sometimes people will never see things the same way, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss them and learn from how other people see things.

I again agree with you.
I think its natural to get emotional over things that you believe in to the very fabric of your being and sometimes people never see eye-to-eye on a topic.
I mean really...how do you think Arnold feels when he's at the Kennedy compound for Thanksgiving dinner?...I often wonder what a conversation between Arnie and Teddy is like....

Well, unfortunately none of us get to pick our relatives - but I know that's a table I sure wouldn't want to be at

Got to speak up here

I get sooooo tired of people calling GW a liar because of WMD - I cannot believe there in anyone in this world who REALLY thinks that there were no WMD's. I've heard Bill say it, I after Hiliary say it after 9/11.

How do you think Sadamm killed all those people?

There are really mean people out there who want you and me dead - dead dead and deader - and they will do anything to accomplish that. Do I feel embarrased for being a US citizen - NO! Do I think we are a bunch of mean spirited people who DESERVE to be killed NO! Do I think we should stand up for the freedoms we enjoy - ABSOLUTELY!

I don't see us blindly following anybody, when someone wants us dead.

If we want to stop enjoying the freedom to do things we do (like Airstreaming) then lets just stop this war and hand the keys to US over to these A.........oles - then we can live like they do (as I hear in these posts)

Ken

LETTER TO PRESIDENT BUSH

Dear President Bush:
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have
learned a great deal from you and understand why you would propose and
support a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. As you said
in the eyes of God marriage is based between a man a woman." I try to share
that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend
the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus
18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination... End of debate. I do need
some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws
and how to follow them.
1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and
female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of
mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you
clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell Rachel (my daughter) into slavery, as
sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a
fair price for her?
3. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it
creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is, my
neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
4. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus
35:2. clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to
kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
5. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I
don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?
6. Lev.21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I
have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear glasses since my
cataract surgery. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some
wiggle-room here?
7. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the
hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.
19:27. How should they die?
8. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig
makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
9. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two
different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made
of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to
curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the
trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16.
Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do
with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14) I know you have
studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in
such matters, so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
Your adoring fan,

/s/ Lew Snow
Roger
I can help.
Leviticus (that's what Lev. stands for - and queer that almost all the above are drawn from this one book) is the 3rd book of the 39 books that make up the Old Testament (Septuagint), commonly referred to as "The Law" and written by Moses.
Basically, under law, sin had to be attoned for by sacrifice.
Then Jesus came to dwell amoung us and save you from yourself.
He sacrificed himself on your behalf and did away with the law.
Hope that cleared things up.

Chica I'd rather have my president lie about a knob job than about sending trops to fight in a war that is based upon miscalculations. The buck is suppose to stop at the top man. If any CEO in the world would have made these kinds of mistakes he would have been outed. Billons wasted for nothing thousands dead the mid east in turmoil, and no way can we leave cause as soon as we do the whole place goes into chaos. Great job W. keep up the good work.
