Regular in Fayetteville, GA is $2.11 and diesel is $2.49 on the main drag. Both may be a .02-.04 cheaper on the secondary highway. This is the first time diesel has dropped under $2.50 in months.

Just paid $2.499 for Diesel in Apache Junction, AZ yesterday. Everyone else around here is charging $2.899 ... not sure why this station was so much lower ... but I'll be back!

The last time I purchased Diesel below $2.50 was on 6/29 in Bellingham, WA ... paid $2.459.

We are still over $2.75 here in SoCal for Diesel!!.

Can anyone explain why Diesel is still more expensive than Premium? Does anyone know a Senator to take up this issue?

Iver the Republican ... still.

According to the media, the reason why diesel is still high is that the demand isn't affected by price. When gas went over $3 consumption went down and that affected supplies.

In the case of diesel, the bulk of it is still used by commerical entities. They buy it no matter what the price. Consumer diesel purchases are a speck so even if you cut back on your use, the other diesel users continue to buy. No significant drop in usage, no supply excess, no big drop in price.....and you have fuel oil demand which affect diesel prices.

It seems like the interest in this thread is lessening as do the fuel prices. This is to be expected I guess. Our pocketbooks are great motivaters. Unleaded gas in northern MN. is as low as 1.99 and diesel is at 2.49.
