Lebanon, MO (S Central area): filled up regular at 2:129, cheapest (ha!) we've seen it since forever, it seems. Highest Diesel we paid a week ago was 3.639 (yikes!). Diesel today is in the 3.30-40 range. Rumor has it that all fuel is on the way down. Let us pray. . .

today regular 1.99 here, diesel 2.49.

now that the petrol companies have all posted record profits for the quarter....and learned what americans will tolerate in price spikes...folks have lost interest in the urgency of fuel issues.

expect more spikes and fluctuations in pricing....

cheers

Best price here is $215, it has dropped quite a bit in the last week. Hope conservation is forcing the change!

Gee, and I though $2.419 was good, down from a high of $3.099.

I saw it for $2.139 in Dover, DE yesterday, with most averaging around $2.199. It's been dropping about a penny per day for the past two weeks. Not bad, considering we were consistently 5 cents above the national average during the crunch. Of course, there were a couple of stations about 12 miles south that were still at $2.479. They weren't very busy.

Minnesota, Texas

While returning my trailer to storage in central Minnesota last two weeks ago I passed a Conoco that posted $2.199/gal. Returning by the same station about 20 minutes later it had dropped a penny. Okay, 3 cents an hour... Today it should be down around my historical low experienced in the Ozarks in approx 1961 -- 14 cents a gallon!

Minnesota prices have been more stable than some since our supply all pipes in from Canada over land. Prices increase sharply going eastward -- after Katrina it was 20 cents higher once you even got close to Madison Wisconsin.

Filled here in San Antonio 3 days ago at $2.199/gal.

Just passed the Phillips 66 station in our little town of Ashland to see diesel had dropped to 2.559 from earlier 2.699 and 2.659. Not yet good enough, but so much better! Our regional highest that I was aware of for diesel was 3.639 at a nearby Conoco a couple of weeks ago. Surely they didn't sell much diesel at that high!

Diesel is still $3.659 here in some spots. And they probably only sold enough Diesel for someone to get to the next station.
