bio-diesel is now cheaper in PHX

I'll be going to Westen States Petroleum this Saturday for 1/2 a tank of B99 at $2.64. Loves on I-10 is ~$2.69 today at the pump for #2 ($2.75 on the highway sign).

ALBQ Gas prices

Got gas on Monday. Prices may have adjusted since!

4/10/06
Regular gas $2.69
Mid $2.79
Premium $2.99

Costco in Eubank

Regular $2.55
Premium $2.69

NO WONDER there are ALWAYS lines around the place!

That is my only gas station here in ALBQ! Have heart palpitations when I go elsewhere.... Shame that not all CostCo's have gas pumps...

Filled up with premium 91 octan (lowest gas grade in Germany) for $6.14 per gallon today. Think that hurts!!!! Diesel is at $4.46 per gallon. I want a Diesel!!!

Keep your heads up...

Bjoern,
Thanks for the European reality check. We sometimes forget we're still less expensive then most of our friends across the Atlantic. Is bio-diesel readily available there?
Thanks.

Yes, Bio-Diesel is available at many gas stations. It is a little cheaper than normal Diesel ( about $3.89 per gallon), but the government will raise the Tax on Bio-Diesel in the future so that it will be nearly as expensive as normal Diesel...

Did you hear of the new Guiness World Record of a couple from Australia (i think!!) that drove around the world in a Volkswagen Rabbit with only 24 fuel-stops?? And they had the normal engine and the normal gastank installed... They used a new Shell Premium gas with 95 Octan and switched the engine off at every stop and drove really economically... They needed I think 3.5 liters per 100 Km instead of 7.5 liters per 100 what Volkswagen says for that Car.

nice graph rodney....

may need more room at the top....

over night prices up 20 cents in the midwest....so now regular is 2.79....

found a diesel pump at 2.52 sinclair....and it is NOT self serve....

first station the area to have biod diesel (b20) will start pumping tomorrow...

and for 2 days price will be 25 cents LESS than standard diesel...

so 2.35 or so......i may try a few gallons....

while taking azfly' advise......

not to drive to hiwayii....

also don't fry with bio-d....

cheers
