2.10 for unleaded but more important it is 2.70 to 2.89 for diesel. Seems the diesel just will not come down.
Our governor subpoenaed the CEO's of the oil companies to explain why the prices went so high. They did not show up but sent representatives. One well wishing representative said he hopes the taxes that they pay as a corporation will help off- set a poor person's extra fuel expenses this winter. What taxes?

$2.15 to $2.35 for Regular gasoline, North Central Florida. I found some diesel for $2.39 last weekend in Ft. White, FL, and saw a Chevron on 13th st. in Gainesville for $2.34. Still $2.50 and up at the freeway stations on I75.

Diesel isn't going to come down until the heating season is over. Then we will see the scales tip towards gasoline going up and diesel going down. Where the demand is, the price with either stay high or go up. Natural gas went up 40% in November. There is always an excuse. Either its supply driven, refining capacity, or the environmentalists fault. Just spin the big wheel.

South TX price

While on the way to deer hunt on my annual trip, this is what I spotted south of Beeville. Made me wonder. I spotted unleaded for $1.79 sometime later in the day.

Too bad the price isn't real, I may want to go buy that diesel Silverado I have been eyeing...Regular unleaded is $2.069/gallon, slowly coming down, but I think it is close to bottoming out. Diesel is hovering around $2.75/gallon or slightly higher.

A low of $1.95.9 in Delaware today, with a high of $2.19.9... within two miles of each other.

Just could not let this one pass by without a comment. Who's missing on this big wheel? Who's been raking in the biggest record profits ever to be amassed by a public corporation. Secondly why do we always have to think environmentalists are enemies. At last count there was only one environment and until there is another one that we can easily move to I believe it is worthwhile to protect the only one we have.

My comment was directed toward the big PR wheel that the oil companies spin.

$2.10 to $2.29 all over town in one day. Said it was due to the cold weather we were having. My memory is not as good as it used to be but I seem to remember that we have had cold weather before in Wisconsin without dramatic increases in gasoline prices. Maybe this means that when spring comes and we have our first warm days the price will dramatically drop!

But isn't that when everybody will get out and start taking spring trips again and drive up the demand?

I don't know what cold weather has to do with gas prices. I thought cold weather affected fuel oil demand which was causing diesel to not come down like the gas prices had been. Maybe this increase is to soften the blow of how much the prices will leap when the demand for gas drives the prices up as people start traveling over Christmas.
